I have now been promoted to the Medical Directorship of the Denton State Supported Living Center. My life just got quite a bit busier, but I'm hoping it will settle down some.

Quiet day today. Appt. at the bank tomorrow to discuss some retirement stuff and then the library and groceries.
Home all day. I had the local handyman come by and look at a water shutoff valve in my basement that was dripping. No major problem was found.
Thank You, guys. Much appreciated. More of the same. Trying to get stuff done. The problem I have is I still don't much about what has to be done interms of the paperwork and fulfilling the requirements of the job. The state and DOJ have a heavy presence in conrolling the activities of our facility, just like they do all the facilities in Texas of this nature, and they have very specific complex and particular routine and forms to acomplish that. Ther's no one to "teach" all that, so I have to go along and learn it all piecemeal. I think that is what they expect of me so I don't think it's going to be a problem. I'll learn as I go along. But it is annoying to kind of be in left field when you're supposed to be able to call balls and strikes at home plate. :reading::wow:
A nice quiet Saturday at home, reading.
Stayed home enjoying the air conditioning.
Posted a chapter the other day and have been writing.
I took a ride to the library for some CDs.
