The ice cream trucks by us play either "Turkey in the Straw," or the first few bars of Beethoven's "Fur Elise."
    Regarding 'chutes' comments here:
I've always thought that the ice cream truck drivers must get to hate that tune as much as retailers hate Christmas music.
I agree - hearing those songs over and over during their entire shift must drive them absolutely CRAZY...

Actually, it seems the ice cream trucks around here are operated by Middle Easterners for some reason, and they have a bad habit of playing Christmas music in the middle of summer.

I've got a friend from high school that is so into Christmas that he would probably play Christmas music all year long if the didn't think that his wife would kill him.

I was driving by a house with a garage sale and saw a garden gnome as one of the items for sale. It took me back to "Mother's Day" and Ron's infamous garden gnome that he couldn't face down.:P

    Two things at work today:
While escorting the first-aid guy around the building as he replenished our kits, he was reminiscing about the pranks he pulled as a kid. At one point he sighed nostalgically and said, "Good times..." It reminded me of the scene in Go Team Go when Hego said, "Good times...good times..." as he told Kim and Ron about Team Go's crime-fighting successes prior to Shego's turning evil and leaving her brothers.
And while working in the mail room this afternoon, I noticed a warning label on the conveyor-belt letter sorter I use with my big postage meter. It warned the operators to keep long hair, neckties, loose clothing, etc. away from the belt or its rollers while the machine was operating. It reminded me of Crash's explanation in Team Impossible regarding Dash's "I wish there were another way" comment:
    "It shields us from liability.":P

It's not exactly real life, but...

Yesterday when watching the "Rescue Rangers" episode "Flash, the Wonder Dog," Dale wondered why Flash (or rather, Flash's actor) doesn't climb up walls like he does on the show. Chip responds, noting that the studio uses a stund dog for that.

The whole "climbing up walls" thing immediately reminded me of this.
