New Episode this Saturday
It appears that there is a new episode of ADJL coming on this Saturday just before the new KP episode. I think that this is the delayed "Hong Kong Longs" finale to the series, although I'll have to check it out to see if that's true.
However, I think it is for two reasons. The promo shows Jake's Dad finding out that Haley is a dragon, so I think that he finally finds out about the whole dragon thing. Secondly, Jake meets Rose again, and is trying to get her to remember him. The last time we saw Rose in "Homecoming", she had no memory of being Huntsgirl or of knowing Jake at all, and she was about to leave with her parents for Hong Kong. So it seems Jake is in Hong Kong for some reason in this episode. The Promo also has a short scene of Rose seemingly back in Huntsgirl-like apparel (it doesn't look the quite the same) and apparently back in action in some way.
If I can confirm which episode this is, I'll post it, unless someone beats me to the punch. But it looks like a good one.

Is Disney killing ADJL, as well?
The preview was awesome; much better than the KP 'Larry's birthday' preview. Interested in comparing the two epi's when they come on. Rose's look was interesting, btw: a combination of confusion, fear, and something else, it seemed.

I fully agree. But I keep remembering how Disney kept wanting to kill off the romance angle between Jake and Rose, which why the "Homecoming" episode ended the way it did. So why are they letting the possibility of it resuming come back now, I wonder? That look on Rose's face suggested to me that she was having trouble remembering Jake, trying to resolve two sets of memories she must now have after the "Homecoming" episode. Being a natural shipper, I still like the idea of J/R, but it's a little depressing that they do it on the series finale.

Final Episode
This episode is the delayed "The Hong Kong Longs", which is the series finale for ADJL.
EDIT: Well, this was the final delayed series finale, and I think it ended on a good note. Jake and his family go to Hong Kong for a vacation at the invitation of his grandfather, but it's not a coincidence that they are doing this. On the mountain overshadowing Hong Kong, nicknamed the "back of the dragon" is the first temple ever built by the dragons of the magical world. it is many thousands of years old, and only appears once every thousand years. When it does, all of the dragons in the world must attend for a special toast.
Jake is also antsy about visiting because he knows Rose is here. he has a picture of them together that he always carries with him. Unknown to them all, the Dark Dragon is planning to make his move to mind control all of the dragons and rule the magical world. The temple is due to appear the next night after Jake and his family arrive in Hong Kong. Trixie and Spud have come along for the ride also. The next day the family goes sightseeing, with Jake's father dragging the famiily all over the place. In the middle of this, Jake's grandfather is suddenly kidnapped by the Dark Dragon's servant, the former dragoness who was on the council (I forget her name), and immobilized in a magical net that does not let him transform. Jake, Trixie, and Spud give chase on improvised skatebaords and follow her to the Hong Kong convention center. There the Dark Dragon appears with hundreds of shade dragons and challenges Jake. He is much bigger and stronger now, having had his powers augmented by the traitorous old lady dragoness. He gives an ultimatum to Jake that he must take a potion of mind control and slip it into the drinks of all the dragons at the temple that night, or he will never see his grandfather again.
Fu Dog catches up after the Dark Dragon suddenly dissappears with his minions, and Jake tells him what happened. They rejoin the family on tour in a magical restaurant which Jake's father has found, sort of accidently. There, Jake discusses the situation with the other three and sister Haley. They know the Dark Dragon is too strong. Jake realizes there is only one person who could poccibly take him on, Rose. He resolves to find her and convince her of who she originally was. In the meantime, Spud uses his computer expertise to find an old Huntsclan supply depot, in order to get some dragon lances and other gear for Rose to use.
In the meantime, back at the hotel, Jake's mother adn sister Haley, with Spud, Trixie, and Fu Dog, are worried about Jake as he hasn't shown. They figure the worst has happened and he is captured. Haley transforms into dragon shape to practice her moves, knwoing a fight is coming, and her fathe suddenly walks in and is shocked. Jake's mother tries to explain, but then finally admits to her husband that he married into a family of magical dragons. Fu Dog reveals to him he's a talking dog. Jake's father faints at first. When he wakes up, they explain it to him, but when they say Jake's in trouble, he immediately says they have to go help him, adn to explain the rest on teh way. They head for the mountain and the temple,
Jake finds Rose, but cannot convince her of who he is and of who she used tgo be. He ends up getting taken away by the police as Rose thinks he delusional. Jake easily escapes the police, but by that time it is too late. The ceremony at the temple has begin, and he arrives late. He is able to surreptitiously slip the drink into the toast and the other dragons drink it. Now thinking that the all the dragons have drunk the mind control serum, the Dark Dragoin makes his appearance in the temple and commands the other dragons to follow him. However, Jake did not slip the mind control potion into the drinks, but instead a harmless magical tea. The Dark Dragon vows revenge on Jake's grandfather and brings him into the temple yard, but Haley suddenly appears behind teh Dark Dragon and blasts the magical net and frees her grandfather. Then Jake and her grandfather battle teh Dark Dragon as the other dragons battle the hundreds of shade dragons ( or demons). Jake's parents get into the fight along with Fu Dog, Trixie, and Spud, and help fight off the shades. In the end, onyl the Dark Dragon is left, but even he is too powerful then. Not even all the dragons there can defeat him.
Then, suddenly appearing is Rose, in full battle outift, jumping into the temple and attacking the Dark Dragon. Jake dragon ups and goes to help her. Together they manage to battle the Dark Dragon to a standstill. But the temple is about to phase back out of reality and into another dimension. The other dragons start to flee for anyone caught there would be trapped for a thousand years until the temple made its next appearance. Jake is the last one out except for Rose, who is still fighting the Dark Dragon, The temple is disintegrating and the rubble falls down on Rose and the Dark Dragon. She is trapped. Jake goes back to help her. He manages to free her, and they escape the grasp of the Dark Dragon and barely get out of the dimenion flux before it completely dissolves away, trapping the Dark Dragon in the temple for the next thousand years.
Rose kisses Jake, and he asks how she knew. She showed him the picture he had been carrying around, and which he had dropped in her apartment before the police came and took him away. It was what brought her memory back. The last scene of them is where they are holding hands on the mountain top. The ending shows Jake with his father and hugging him close, and his grandfather telling him how very proud he is, then the family goes out to do more sightseeing.
All in all, a well put ending for the series. It leaves completely open exactly what happens to Rose and Jake, so the Fan Fics will roar with this one.

I just got done watching it... I got to say I was disapointed. If that was the series finale. It really didn't give to much of a clear end. Yeah Jake and Rose are back together, Jake's dad knows about magical creatures and stuff. (Santa Clause!) But in all of the episodes of AD, This one sure was a flop. (But there are some good lines and action sequences in there, so It's been rated watchable by myself.)

I know where you're coming from. But I think part of the problem is that thy should have done this story over two or three episodes.

I agree completley, but once again Disney shafted us when it comes to ending a good show. I don't think I remember a Disney show that got production shut down that didn't have a clear ending. Part of this I believe is that the head honchos at D. don't give the production teams enough warning to say "Hey your being cancelled after this season." And because of this, they may be half way done with the season they are currently working on, and all are probally thinking "Oh crap, we didn't expect this...even now."
If you ever watched Phil of the Future, The last episode was so completley random and there was no ending to the series what so ever, it made me wonder if Disney said a week before that episode came out, "hey you guys are done."

So I was talking over on another forum and a memeber tried telling me that the producers and writers of the show should have been prepared to end jake long earlier because of the rule: 65 episode limit....
That rule doesn't even exist right? I thought it was a generic Disney thing, but not a actual rule. Am I right?
EDIT: My Bad... I just noticed the Sticky in the KP topic....So apparently I was right.
