I've just posted on AO3 and on fanfiction.net the first of a series of vignettes looking at what happens after Ron is locked in the closet in "Crush." These stories are not part of the DE universe--at least not yet--although we might see one or more when the "A Pan-Dimensional Sitch in Time" arc begins. The vignettes will not take away from DE stories which still take top priority. They're just a little something I wanted to do.

The first vignette was sweet. These "darker" ones sound intriguing. I'll look forward to them.

Thanks, campy! This was the 'best' ending for anyone who's a Kim/Ron shipper. The next vignette I'm titling "Saved by an Angel" and it happens after the dance is over and while cleanup is going on. Hint: Guess who is NOT at cleanup? It'll be some time before I post it though as I'm working on Mad Dog Picnic for DE right now and want to get that up first.

I just posted the latest chapter of DE: Summer Heat. Only one more chapter to go before the next story in the series--Junior Year. Please let me know what ya'll think.

Now that was a welcome dose of Summer Heat on a cold New England morning!

The large cast of characters is deftly handled with everyone getting a chance to demonstrate what they're made of. Much tension in the pool scene as the food chain rattles audibly. I wonder what the future will bring?

Thanks campy! Yeah, it got a little difficult at times keeping all the characters straight and giving them at least a moment in the sun. The future's going to be an interesting one--Drakken's gearing up and the others are also getting ready to put their schemes into motion as Kim and her father are about to hit a crisis point. Things at school are also going to get more complicated with the weakening of the food chain. And then there's the Pan-Dimensional Sitch in Time...who knows what that's going to bring.

Posted the next part of "Variations on a Theme". This is going to be a multi-chapter arc called "Saved by an Angel." and looks at what might have happened if Ron had to stay in the closet until the dance was over. This will be the last part with a happy ending--it's just that getting to that happy ending here's going to be a little rockier. Beginning with the next part, the parts get progressively darker.

Nice finale. The beginning section with Tara and her aunt was oddly evocative of some fic I dimly remember from years ago.

Junior year is going to be quite the ride!

Thanks. That section was intended as a tribute to your "Mating Game" and Jerridian's "Queen's Gambit Accepted." I'm glad you liked it. And yes, Junior Year will be a wild ride.
