    Larry's Birthday

So, what did everybody think? I liked it, though the dialog with all the talk of scenario this and that began to wear a bit. I'm not sure how it will stand up to repeated viewings.

In the intro, when the puma turned on Ron, I was half expecting his "barely a man" line to talk about some problem at his bris, rather than his bar mitzvah.

The scenario thing is pretty standard with that group. But I also think it a little contrived. For al the RPG's out there, as far as I'm concerned, there is no comparison to the original AD&D, when it is operated by a master DM, as I have been privileged to be a part of such a game for the last twenty eight years. There are no "scenarios". There is only the life of your alter ego, and the adventures he or she has played. If the DM is true master of his craft, they will be almost as memorable as real life. It's a shame I hardly get any time any more to play.

But I liked the episode. The Ronster was his usual self, trying to be responsible with Hana, and utterly able to be convinced to go for ice cream anyway. He can't keep a secret worth a hoot, of course. Just the usual Ron stuff.:P Kim, of course, is just trying to cope with it all, to save cousin Larry without everything else getting destroyed or anybody else hurt.

It was interesting that it was actually Larry who saved the day, and in Kim's battle suit. I'm more surprised the battle suit was in working condition. We get to meet Aunt June for the first time. She appears to be her father's sister., and about what I would expect for Larry's mother.

@Campy - what did you mean by "bris"?

So it was not a really serous episode. It was a little silly and played more for laughs, I think, which was cool.

I could of died! and almost did.... from laughing. That was hands down the best episode with larry in it ever in my books.

Nice to see the battle suit again.. but not to nit pick but they really got the blue off... way off from StD. It way to bright, but good to see it again. Kurt told me we'd see it again but I dont think he said when. It was a nice suprise.

It annoyed me that Kim now has a full-size grappling gun... in her watch. I know you have to suspend belief somewhat to enjoy the show, but really...

Best line, hands down: "We're gonna need a bigger boat... and some water."

One of Charlotte's comments was a nice call-back (call forward?) to "ASiT." You could fill an entire website just with all the in-references the KP franchise has made.

    ....Oh, right. :P

Sorry to say it, but this definitely isn't among my favorite season four episodes. The writing and the general flow of the episode just didn't feel up to snuff. The "scenario 19" twist at the end with Larry in the battlesuit made up for the entire thing, though.
