[14:05] Director-Bailey: I wish the net existed when I was en embryonic animator/comic book fan
[14:05] RD: Welcome to Mr. Swenlin, and thanks for coming!
    [14:05] Serge-stiles: Ahoy Swenlin!
[14:05] Anitrain: First question of the chat from RSNET: Well, Kim is Kimberley Anne Possible, how about Ron does he have a name between Ronald and Stoppable? If so what is it?
[14:05] morefood2001: Swenlin now may talk
[14:05] Director-Bailey: Forgive my typos, I never learned to type
    [14:06] Swenlin: hey gang
[14:06] Director-Bailey: I dunno... we never gave him a middle name in the first season
[14:06] Steve: I don't think he has one.
    [14:06] Director-Bailey: Officially, anyway
[14:06] Swenlin: I'm actually not here yet.... I've got to wrap up a few things, but I'll be back in about 20ish minutes.
    [14:06] charlotte: Hey Brian
    [14:06] Steve: tease
    [14:06] Swenlin: lol
    [14:06] Swenlin: Hey Steve
[14:06] Binski: FYI: If you VIP's have no comment on a question, type 'pass' or something like that so we'll know to wait for your answer or not.
    [14:07] Director-Bailey: Lote?
    [14:07] Director-Bailey: Loter?
    [14:07] Steve: Baile?

    [14:07] Serge-stiles: LOL
    [14:07] Serge-stiles: Lote'n'Baile.
[14:07] Swenlin: This will give you a chance to shine without me hogging any of
    [14:07] Swenlin: your spotlight.
    [14:07] Director-Bailey: sitting in a tree...
    [14:07] Nabusan: haha
    [14:07] Serge-stiles: K-I-S...wait
    [14:07] Swenlin: seeya soon!
    [14:07] Director-Bailey: D R A W ING
    [14:07] Serge-stiles: YEAH that one.
[14:07] Steve: I think we hit second base already
    [14:07] *** Kurt Weldon has joined #rsnet.
    [14:08] Nabusan: Welcome, Kurt!
    [14:08] Director-Bailey: hey Kurt
    [14:08] Serge-stiles: Ahoy Kurt!
[14:08] morefood2001: Kurt may now speak
[14:08] RD: Welcome to Kurt, enjoy the chat!
[14:08] Steve: Living the dream! In the rain!
    [14:08] charlotte: hi kurt
    [14:08] Kurt Weldon: Greetings, humanoids!
    [14:08] FusionFox: robo kurt
[14:08] Nabusan: Huzzah for voices, they're a godsend!
    [14:08] RD: Felicitations!
[14:08] Kurt Weldon: I am totally living the dream because of the rain
[14:08] Director-Bailey:: I live the dream too, but my dreams are anxiety dreams
[14:09] Serge-stiles: I love rain, I wish there was rain up here.
[14:09] Kurt Weldon: I never said it was my dream...
    [14:09] Serge-stiles: WEll, right now.
[14:09] RD: FINALLY some decent precipitation in the land of sun and fun, HUH?
[14:09] Serge-stiles: There is rain here and plenty of it. Washington, LOL.
[14:09] Binski: it's cloudy here in the desert... but no rain...
[14:09] Anitrain: The rain knocked out my internet overnight.
[14:10] Binski: question from RSNET: What was the craziest idea anybody on the show ever suggested you to do in the show?
[14:10] Director-Bailey: What are you other KP alumni working on now?
    [14:10] Steve: A 4th season
    [14:10] Serge-stiles: LOL
    [14:10] FusionFox: haha ^^
[14:10] Kurt Weldon: I'm working on finding a job
[14:10] charlotte: care bears, angel wars, brave, storm hawks...
    [14:10] Steve: Nick pilot
[14:11] Nabusan: we're still waiting for news on that, Steve
[14:11] Nabusan: Hope you're able to announce it soon
    [14:11] Steve: Yeah, me too!
[14:11] RD: charlotte, I have to say Storm Hawks ROCKS!
[14:11] Director-Bailey: Someone suggested that we give Kim and Ron a pet. We all groaned and then came up with Rufus
    [14:12] Director-Bailey: Some nameles E.W.O.C. at Disney
[14:12] Nabusan: so rufus wasnt there from the beginning?
[14:12] Kurt Weldon: Someone suggested we construct an episode around the importance of a healthy diet
    [14:12] charlotte: thanks, RD
    [14:12] Binski: EWOC?
[14:12] Director-Bailey: Nope. Bob, mark and I hated the idea of giving them a talking animal sodekick
[14:12] Steve: We worked for those fuzzy teddy bears from Return Of The Jedi?
    [14:13] Director-Bailey: Exec WithOut a Clue
    [14:13] Nabusan: Rufus Power!
    [14:13] Binski: pseudo-talking...
[14:13] Kurt Weldon: Isn't that redundant, Chris?
    [14:13] FusionFox: the rufus factor?
[14:13] Director-Bailey: Fruit helps you poop!
    [14:13] Nabusan: lol!
[14:13] FusionFox: if only i'd known sooner...
[14:14] charlotte: and that's one to grow on
[14:14] Director-Bailey: That was the only message I remember from one of my episodes
[14:14] Serge-stiles: It does stand out, doesn't it?
[14:15] Binski: Well that kills one of my questions...
[14:15] Steve: about fruit or pooping?
    [14:15] Serge-stiles: Both together.
[14:15] Serge-stiles: In the same sentence.
[14:15] Binski: about what Chris remembers as a quote...
[14:16] Director-Bailey: The cruelist joke I ever did to the overseas artists was design Shego's costume. I still can figure out how it works with the black and green pattern. I just did a little drawing from one view and let them figur eit out... or maybe Silver figured it out for them. In whihc case I owe Silver an apology
[14:16] FusionFox: question from RSNET: Was Dr. Freeman's name from Car Trouble a reference to Dr. GoRDon Freeman from the video game Half Life?
    [14:16] Serge-stiles: Hah.
    [14:16] Serge-stiles: *Haha.
    [14:16] Director-Bailey: pass
[14:17] Steve: Who wrote that one?
    [14:17] Nabusan: luke danger
    [14:17] Nabusan: i think?
[14:17] Nabusan: the question that is
[14:17] Steve: Sorry, I meant the script.
    [14:17] Steve: Kurt?
[14:17] Kurt Weldon: oh no -- you're not pinning that one on me!
[14:17] Director-Bailey: Wrote the opoop joke? I dunno, but it sounds like a Bob line to me.
[14:17] Kurt Weldon: I'm gonna say that the name is probably coincidental
[14:18] Steve: No, I meant do you know? Ah...pass!
[14:18] Dracko19: Well, Kim is Kimberley Anne Possible, how about Ron does he have a name between Ronald and Stoppable? If so what is it?
    [14:18] Kurt Weldon: Gertrude
[14:18] Kurt Weldon: We've been over this
    [14:18] Steve: Bertha
    [14:18] Dracko19: sorry
    [14:18] Anitrain: dracko, repeat
    [14:18] Nabusan: not gertrude?
    [14:18] Nabusan:
[14:18] Kurt Weldon: Bertha's better. Let's go with that
[14:18] Dracko19: didnt see it. working on questions here
[14:18] Binski: does that cost us a dollar?
    [14:18] Director-Bailey: Ron "California" Stoppable?
[14:18] Kurt Weldon: A canadian dollar
    [14:19] Director-Bailey: Ron "Door" Stoppable?
[14:19] RD: Car trouble written by Bill Motz
[14:19] Steve: You realize no one is getting a 'real' answer today!
    [14:19] FusionFox: talking in riddles!
[14:19] Director-Bailey: I may not have any real answers in me
[14:19] Jeriddian: From Mike_Industries at GJA: 1) Did you ever expect KP to have an impact on the world like it did?
    [14:19] Director-Bailey: If I do, I won't keep them to myself
[14:19] Steve: Bill's my good friend, I would imagine he has no idea what a 'game' is. So, no.
    [14:20] RD: thanks, Steve
[14:20] Director-Bailey: I knew we were making a cool show, but you never know what wil take off
[14:20] Steve: Only on the net.
[14:21] Nabusan: Did you guys keep up withe the net a lot in the earlier seasons?
[14:21] Director-Bailey: We worked very haRD to do a stylish show that wouldn't get lost in the rest of TV animation
[14:21] Serge-stiles: The work payed off.
    [14:21] Serge-stiles: paid.
[14:21] Director-Bailey: Mark and Bob did more than me
[14:21] Director-Bailey: they kept me informed
[14:21] Director-Bailey: I goof off on the net in other ways
[14:22] Director-Bailey: talk to my artists friends who are all over the world
[14:22] charlotte: television withough pity has always been my clearing house for info
[14:22] Nabusan: LOL! So I have a question from GJA: What was it you were intending for Shego to say to Kim before Ron turned her evil again at the end of Stop Team Go?
[14:22] Director-Bailey: I don't do much cruising of fan sites...
[14:22] Anitrain: RSNET: which KP ep was the haRDest to work on, story-wise and/or art-wise?
[14:22] RD: Can one of you guys ring Bob at home and see what's up with him?
[14:22] Steve: Probably something along the lines- "You're a good friend..."
[14:23] Kurt Weldon: Shego was going to say to Kim, "I think Gertrude is a great name for your mom."
    [14:23] Serge-stiles: LOL
[14:23] Dracko19: Bob will not be at the chat today. He posted on RS.NET about it
    [14:23] RD: ah, thanks, Dracko
[14:23] Director-Bailey: Oh, I just sent him an email
    [14:23] RD: thanks, chris
[14:23] Steve: HaRDest was the finale. Writing it as we went and less budget.
    [14:24] Nabusan: LESS?
    [14:24] Steve: Less than STD
    [14:24] Nabusan: ah
[14:24] Binski: I noticed that Kurt is listed in the credits in many eps as a Line Producer? What is that?
[14:24] charlotte: I have a question for Steve:
[14:24] Director-Bailey: I recall a couple that had some weak boaRDs come in... those took the most work to get them in shape. The Smarty Mart eopisode comes to mind
[14:24] Kurt Weldon: That was answered way back when on the boaRD
    [14:24] Director-Bailey: I can't recall the title
[14:25] Kurt Weldon: But basically, the line producer is responsible for the non-creative elements of the show
[14:25] Dracko19: charlotte go ahed with your question.
    [14:25] Jeriddian: Thanks Kurt
[14:25] charlotte: By the time you were doing the finale, how was your morale? Was Disney being supportive or had they all moved on/entusiasn waned...
[14:25] Director-Bailey: Kurt picked up all the slack... did a lot of work to make my job easier too.
[14:25] Director-Bailey: Disney let me go
    [14:25] Director-Bailey: *******s!
    [14:25] Director-Bailey: LOL
    [14:25] Nabusan: evil!
[14:25] Nabusan: they let all their best people go
[14:25] Nabusan: it means they love you
    [14:25] FusionFox: haha
[14:26] Steve: Well, let's just say High School Musical was very important to them.
[14:26] Kurt Weldon: It means they fear your power!
[14:26] Director-Bailey: heh.... I've been having fun anyways
[14:26] Dracko19: SLASH: Did execs ever demand you scrap an idea or face serious consequences?
[14:26] charlotte: wrote the pop-up edition
[14:26] charlotte: I know alls about da HSM
    [14:26] charlotte: eviiil!
[14:27] Steve: Yikes! Did Vanessa's pics get a mention!
[14:27] Kurt Weldon: frequently, we would come into work in the morning and find severed horse's heads at our desks
    [14:27] Dracko19: lol nice
    [14:27] Serge-stiles: Haha, LOL
    [14:27] RD: YOW!!!
[14:27] Kurt Weldon: They were good with cream cheese...
[14:27] Director-Bailey: We were worried about some scenes after 9-11 as we had a lot of explosions and out of control airplanes, but the changes weren't that drastic
[14:27] charlotte: lol, Steve. pics weren't made public yet by then.
[14:27] RD: but the cocoa moo was still free?
[14:28] Director-Bailey: It seemed like the Chanel wanted us to make the show more like a sitcom and less actiony at one poihnt
[14:28] charlotte: we weren't allowed to mention how zac wasn't doing his own singing. but that news is out now.
[14:28] FusionFox: RSNET: Why does Mr.Dr.P have a thing against showfolk?
    [14:28] Director-Bailey: I thought everyone had a thing against show-folk
[14:28] Kurt Weldon: because he used to work for Disnay
    [14:28] Kurt Weldon: disney
    [14:28] Serge-stiles: Disnay sounds fancy.
[14:28] Nabusan: haha good answer ^^
[14:29] Steve: We all hate showfolk.
    [14:29] Kurt Weldon: That'd be Euro-Disnay
[14:29] Binski: are you all 'show folk'?
    [14:29] Serge-stiles: LOL
[14:29] charlotte: that's interesting, chris. hadn't heaRD about the sitcom v. action
[14:29] Jeriddian: From Lunchmeat: 2) Was the destruction of Pandaroo symbolic of Kim's transition from Middleton, high school and into incipient adulthood?
[14:29] Kurt Weldon: Anyone in live action will tell you we're not really show folk
[14:29] Steve: Some more show. Some more folk. Y'know?
[14:29] Nabusan: lol, I love that question
[14:29] FusionFox: you're 'folk of the show'
    [14:29] FusionFox: totally different
[14:30] Steve: Pandaroo was a last minute joke. Nothing deeper than that.
[14:30] Director-Bailey: Yeah, Mark, Bob and I were just about to go to the Channel to ask, "what is it we are doing that isn't the show you think you bought?' when the pressure let up.
[14:30] charlotte: anyone in liveaction will tell you we're not really writers either
[14:30] Director-Bailey: They wanted less action and more about Kim's problems
[14:30] RD: Good question about Pandaroo, but I looked at that scene several times, and it didn't LOOK like pandaroo because of the off-coloring
[14:31] Kurt Weldon: In fact, any one in live action will question whether we are even carbon=based life forms...
[14:31] Director-Bailey: Hey, I'm in Live action now!
[14:31] Director-Bailey: Any I can say for certain that non eof you are real
[14:31] Kurt Weldon: cool -- need any writers or carbon-based life forms?
    [14:31] charlotte: liveaction)
    [14:31] Steve: Um, regaRDing Pandaroo's colors....whoops.
    [14:31] Director-Bailey: Maybe soon
[14:31] charlotte: interesting that DC has since become all about the sitcoms
[14:31] Nabusan: LOL! Well, erm - question from GJA: Why didn't Wade leave his room for so long, and what was the event that finally triggered him leaving his room?

    Second half hour

[14:32] RD: ah, ok. Animators goofed on the coloration there?
[14:32] Kurt Weldon: wasn't that event depicted in "Team Impossible"?
[14:32] Director-Bailey: he had to go to the bathroom
[14:32] Steve: Variety in story, I believe. Right, Kurt?
[14:32] Serge-stiles: After all that time.
    [14:32] Kurt Weldon:Yeah, exactly
[14:32] RonStoppable: Wade needs to eat more fruit
    [14:32] Serge-stiles: LOL
[14:33] Nabusan: so do you, ron
[14:33] FusionFox: its a bad image for DC to show kids not using the bathroom
[14:33] Director-Bailey: I never thought much about Wade except that he was a kid who loved to sit as his computer all day
[14:33] Anitrain: From RSNET: My mom noticed that Kim looked like a Jedi Knight with her Graduation Robe in the battle, intentional reference?
[14:33] charlotte: and that he's secretly the size of a football player
[14:33] Steve: Actually, yes. It was discussed.
[14:33] Director-Bailey: At one point, Disney said that Wade was too fat, Kim's mom too skinning, Kim's boobies too pointed, and the cheereladers knees were too chubby
[14:34] Director-Bailey: They wanted to take all the style out of the show
    [14:34] Serge-stiles: Wow, specific pickyness.
    [14:34] *** Swenlin has joined #rsnet.
[14:34] charlotte: i'm disturbed that a disney exec was checking out
    [14:34] Kurt Weldon: Mister Swenlin!
    [14:34] Swenlin: I have returned.
    [14:34] charlotte: the cheerleaders' knees!
[14:34] Steve: THat was more than 20 minutes, Swenlin!
    [14:34] Serge-stiles: LOL
    [14:34] charlotte: brrr...
    [14:34] Director-Bailey: I liked their chubby knees
    [14:34] Swenlin: Mmmm... cheerleader knees.
    [14:34] Serge-stiles: Right, the knees.
[14:34] Kurt Weldon: My daughter is a cheerleader
[14:34] Swenlin: I see we've moved onto the haRD hitting topics!
    [14:34] charlotte: ew! ick!
[14:34] Binski: We've heaRD that exec's get very concerned about alien/outer space epsodes? Did that have anything to do wit hthe script for the finale?
    [14:34] Director-Bailey: With chibby knees?
    [14:35] Director-Bailey: It
[14:35] Kurt Weldon: there's a recessive gene at work there somewhere
[14:35] Steve: Were they concerned, Kurt? I didnt think so?
[14:35] Director-Bailey: its because execs are from out space and they are sensitive to how they are depicted
[14:35] Kurt Weldon: I didn't get copied on any notes about that
[14:35] Swenlin: I don't actually recall the executive stance on the sci-fi finale. Though I think there was always a concern that there might be too much action.
[14:35] Dracko19: SLASH: There were hints that Kim and Shego had a relationship that went beyond hero/villian. Shego saving Kim in Mad Dogs. The whole Stop Team Go. Shego saving Kim in Capn Drakken. Did you consider exploring that even more than you did?
[14:35] Binski: that's something Mark said a long time back...
    [14:36] Director-Bailey: pass
[14:36] Steve: You know what channel we're on, right?
[14:36] Kurt Weldon: you can't explore it too much -- a series is about consistency
[14:36] Swenlin: I think the extent of K/S relationship is seen on screen.
[14:36] Nabusan: lol, could just be friendship
[14:36] Swenlin: We didn't put much thought into it beyond what we brought to the episodes.
[14:36] Kurt Weldon: Just speaking for myself, I always kept in mind Reed RichaRDs and Dr. Doom
    [14:36] Swenlin: At least *I* didn't.
[14:36] Director-Bailey: geez, i guess I haven't been keeping up. Did Kim and Sheego have a sleepover or something?
    [14:37] Director-Bailey: Where was Drakken?
[14:37] Steve: C'mon, I KNOW what youre getting at!
[14:37] Serge-stiles: Trying to open pickles.
[14:37] FusionFox: ARA: Why was the name of Ron's sister changed from Mon to Hana?
[14:37] Swenlin: Shego became good for an episode and the two of them became best friends.
[14:37] Kurt Weldon: Bitter enemies, with an unspoken understanding that they were sort of equals
[14:37] Swenlin: It was never "mon" was it?
    [14:37] Serge-stiles: 'Ey mon.
[14:37] Steve: I dont know 'Mon'. It was changed from Hana to Han
[14:38] Kurt Weldon: also, Shego's real name is "Gertrude."
    [14:38] Serge-stiles: LOL
[14:38] Swenlin: It was originally "Hana", but an executive was concerned that there was already "Hannah Montana".
[14:38] Director-Bailey: Did Gil ever come back?
[14:38] Director-Bailey: That was my favorite episode
[14:38] Serge-stiles: Just incase she ever had her own spinoff?
    [14:38] Serge-stiles: Hana Stoppable
[14:38] Kurt Weldon: he did -- they made him a VP of Development
[14:38] Swenlin: Even though they were pronounced totally diffferently and one was a cartoon and one wasn't
[14:38] Steve: He would have but got cut from last episode
[14:38] Jeriddian: From Rufus_forever: 1) If you could go back and do it all over again and had complete free reign, is there one major thing (or things) you would have done differently (i.e., changed a character's personality or appearance, added or eliminated a character, not done a particular episode or done one on a topic that you were never able to cover, etc.)?
[14:38] FusionFox: hmm, nobody mentioned typos in these questions... sorry
[14:38] Director-Bailey: I love the cute blond that was falling for Ron and that he was too dense to see it.
[14:38] Director-Bailey: Just like me when I was a kid
[14:39] charlotte: kurt, re: reed richaRDs and dr. doom: dwayne says, yay!
[14:39] Swenlin: Gil is in two episodes.
    [14:39] Swenlin: Right?
    [14:39] Director-Bailey: fewer belly shirts
    [14:39] Kurt Weldon: Right
    [14:39] RD: yes
[14:39] Kurt Weldon: Two Gils -- one for each 'l'
    [14:39] Steve: Re-design Team Go.
[14:39] Director-Bailey: But the Channel wanted "Bring it on" I think we went a hair too far
[14:39] Nabusan: Question from RS.net: I am curious about what (if any) cameos you placed in Graduation. Did you sneak some animated KP Crew members or other people into graduation?
[14:39] RD: sink or swim, and return to wannaweep
[14:40] Steve: We were two busy to come up with caricatures, although Nick Fillipi made it into MANY episodes.
[14:40] Nabusan: lol yes - the fish!
[14:40] Swenlin: Oh, by the way - Hi Chris. Nice to virtually meet you. It's been a pleasure and a privilege working with you... tangentially.
[14:40] Director-Bailey: I am very happy with Kim. On balance, it is pretty much what Alan, Silver and I wanted to do visually.
[14:40] Serge-stiles: That name sounds familiar, AmDrag wise...
    [14:40] Director-Bailey: Hi bakc!
[14:40] RD: I loved how Nick popped up from time to time... it was funny!!!
[14:40] Dracko19: MESSAGE FOR OUR ROOM GUESTS. PLEASE PM NABUSAN YOUR QUESTIONS AS HE NEEDS SOME GOOD ONES. THANK YOU.
[14:41] Nabusan: or any, for that matter
[14:41] Anitrain: FROM RSNET: would you tell us the outlines of all your alternative endings for graduation?
[14:41] Steve: I could, but it would take too long right now. Maybe I could post it later?
[14:41] Director-Bailey: We had such great boaRD artists that could write material that first season.... Eugene, Bullock...
[14:42] Anitrain: That would be great Steve
[14:42] Dracko19: To Steve: Please do on rsnet in the VIP section in your thread.
[14:42] Binski: live question: mrmatt: Thanks, I was just wondering how KP was introduced to Wade and how he because her web page host. Thought Steve might know.
[14:42] Steve: Actually, CHris might know
[14:43] Director-Bailey: Hmmm... I don't recall discussing it, but I thougth Wade was just a kid from the neighborhod
[14:43] Swenlin: I had pitched a substantial role for Monkey Fist, but it was ruled out early on.
[14:43] Dracko19: SLASH: Why did you ignore Bonnie's character development in the season 3 episode 'Bonding'
[14:43] Director-Bailey: barry Blumberg wanted Wade to be old, but I thought that was creepy and refused to draw a version of him older
[14:44] RD: welcome to the new additions that just joined us. Enjoy!
[14:44] Director-Bailey: A creepy old guy on the net wanting to hang out with teenagers is just wrong
[14:44] Binski: Note: If you'ld like to ask any questions 'live', double-click a mod's name. A separate window will open.
[14:44] Swenlin: Did we ignore her development in season 3? What do you mean?
[14:44] Kurt Weldon: Iand yet, disturbingly common
[14:44] Steve: Well, I don't know. Some people just don't change?
[14:44] RD: Boy, do I know THAT feeling!
    [14:44] RD: LOL
[14:44] Kurt Weldon: Bonnie's an archetype, not a character
[14:45] Dracko19: well i think the questio was in regaRD to her older sisters teasing her and such. How she got that way and her family
[14:45] Director-Bailey: Yeah, she was there just to be resentful and Kim and cause her problems at school
[14:45] Swenlin: I think Bonding gave us some insight as to why she's the way she is, but that didn't mean we wanted to change her of the role she played.
[14:45] Kurt Weldon: As for Bonding, it's more potent for Kim to learn something about Bonnie, than for bonnie to learn, well, anything
[14:45] FusionFox: SLASH: Have you seen any of the Kigo fanart? If so, what did you think?
[14:45] Director-Bailey: Bonnie will marry rich and get a nice divorce settlement
[14:46] Kurt Weldon: She'll marry a creepy old guy who wants to hang out with teenagers
[14:46] Director-Bailey: No, i haven't seen much Kim art, except for some naughty things that people pass on
[14:46] Steve: I'm taking heat from KIgo shippers.
[14:46] Kurt Weldon: In the divore papers, we'll learn that her middle name is "gertrude"
    [14:47] Director-Bailey: Wasn't gertrude a duck?
[14:47] Dracko19: does that surprise you that there is a faction in the fandom that ships Kim and Shego?
[14:47] Director-Bailey: In Journey to the Center of the Earth?
    [14:47] Director-Bailey: Ships?
[14:47] Steve: Again, please refer to my 'you know what channel we're on, right?' answer.
    [14:47] Serge-stiles: What about Ron/Ja... nah, I won't go there. LOL.
    [14:47] Serge-stiles: DC!
    [14:48] Serge-stiles: Uh, baby.
    [14:48] Dracko19: yes
[14:48] charlotte: howaRD stern always said, lesbians equal ratings
[14:48] Jeriddian: From NinjaNaco: 1) Wasn't there any foreshadowing of "Graduation"'s whole Felix/Zita romance in the rest of season 4?
[14:48] Steve: I don;t think there was foreshadowing, since we didnt see them at all in season 4.
[14:48] Director-Bailey: We were creating a girl Jonny Quest in the first season. Whatever people read into it beyond that was in their own minds.
[14:49] Kurt Weldon: Unfortunatley, a lot of it traveled from their own minds and onto the 'net
[14:49] Director-Bailey: Kim is cute, be didn't try to make the show overly sexy... as I said, the belly naco=rts were a reaction to the popularity of Bring it ON.
[14:49] Nabusan: Bobman would like to ask 'Was Ron getting Mystical Monkey power going to be used throught the series like it ended up doing, or was it originally just going to be a one-time plot for Monkey Fist Strikes?'
[14:50] Steve: It wasnt planned for the finale.
[14:50] Dracko19: For the VIPS: Shiping means a fan of a relationship between 2 or more characters. Usually 2. K/R would be a ship. you can be a fan of a relationship that exists -cannon or of one that doesnt non-canon.
[14:50] Director-Bailey: We just thought it was a one time thing, but it wasn't written in stone
[14:50] Swenlin: No, not in season 4 I don't think. I actually really wanted to do another Felix story in season four, but it just never really panned out. I was a proponent for having him be valedictorian in Graduation.
[14:50] Director-Bailey: I see. LOL I guess this is further proff that I'm old
    [14:51] Serge-stiles: RelationSHIP. Shipping.
[14:51] Kurt Weldon: It's safe to assume that just about everything is a one-time thing, when it's first conceived. Later on, people go back to look for elements that worked unexpectedly well, or that they can put a new twist on
[14:51] Director-Bailey: Yeah, of course. As usual, i agree with Kurt
    [14:51] Swenlin: I thiRD that.
[14:51] Kurt Weldon: Frugal Lucre is probably the best illustration of that
    [14:51] charlotte: what kurt said
[14:52] RD: Question from ME... At the closing credits of GRADUATION, when Bonnie transformed to Camille, was that meant to show Camille was Bonnie through the whole show?
    [14:52] Steve: No, just there.
    [14:52] Director-Bailey: pass
[14:53] Anitrain: I (of SDS) ask: Is Camille a natural blond?
[14:53] RD: I roared laughing at the seniors' reaction to that... Thanks, Steve!
    [14:53] Steve: Of course not.
[14:53] Kurt Weldon: Is anything about Camille natural?
    [14:53] RD: Plastic Fantastic
    [14:53] Serge-stiles: Her...pet?
[14:53] Anitrain: It was my example question and I just had to ask it.
[14:53] Dracko19: Considering that Ron has matured through series 1-3 as a character, why was it decided in season 4 to regress his personaity and in many cases seem to remove the positive developments that had occured? Especially when such maturity was needed to ensure his romance with Kim was not weakened for fans?
    [14:54] Kurt Weldon: ron matured?
[14:54] Director-Bailey: Kim is probably the closest thing to my personal sensibility that I have worked on, besides X-II
[14:55] Director-Bailey: To be honest, i always thought Ron was gay
[14:55] Steve: Well, we were aware of it. Just a little too late. When you get oRDers to make something 'funnier', Ron's the way to go.
    [14:55] RD: OOOOH!
[14:55] Binski: .[11:45] Jinxs_: About Ron , Did you have any other ideas about his troublesome draumatic childhood but didnt make show , like the evil gaRDen gnome and monkeys etc
    [14:55] Director-Bailey: What?!?! Wha'd i say?
    [14:55] RonStoppable: WHOA... backoff man!
[14:55] Kurt Weldon: There's nothing Ron did in Season four that is inconsistent with seasons 1-3, including the moments of strength and/or competence
    [14:55] Nabusan: LOL!!!!
    [14:55] Binski: ... not that it's a bad thing...
    [14:56] Serge-stiles: WHAT LOL
[14:56] Nabusan: Just caught up on Bailey's stuff
    [14:56] Jeriddian: it isn't I think
    [14:56] Serge-stiles: Omg.
    [14:56] RD: X-D
    [14:56] morefood2001: LOL
    [14:56] Serge-stiles: I think that's teh best thing I ever heaRD.
[14:56] FusionFox: wow, what a way to come out...
    [14:56] FusionFox:
[14:56] Swenlin: We were just going for jokes.
[14:56] Swenlin: It wasn't meant to undermine his character development.
[14:56] Director-Bailey: Originally he was to wind up with Kim one day, but after working with the actor and seeing how the character developed, i changed my thinking.
    [14:57] Nabusan: me like
    [14:57] Nabusan: ahem
[14:57] Director-Bailey: I don't know if mark and Bob agreed... it was just my personal POV
[14:57] FusionFox: RSNET: To each of the VIPS. What do you enjoy doing for recreation on your free time?
[14:57] Kurt Weldon: Our job is to fill 22 minutes. Filling a character arc happens as a byproduct
[14:57] Director-Bailey: he seemed more interesting that way
[14:57] RD: Ron WAS the comic foil, guys... you couldn't undermine Kimmie's credibility, so Ron got all the shots.
[14:57] Swenlin: I certainly thought so as well in the beginning.
[14:57] Kurt Weldon: free time... i've hear of that...
    [14:57] morefood2001: LOL
    [14:57] Kurt Weldon: heaRD
[14:57] Director-Bailey: But he was the man in Sink or Swim
[14:57] morefood2001: That was my question
    [14:57] Steve: Um, this?
    [14:57] morefood2001:
[14:57] charlotte: travel! see my myspace/facebook profile
[14:58] morefood2001: Thank you so much
[14:58] Serge-stiles: I am suddenly a notch happier in life.
[14:58] FusionFox: if they can un-padlock themselves from their desks
[14:58] Jeriddian: From Cpneb: 1) What ever happened to Slim's wife/Joss' Mom?
[14:58] Kurt Weldon: She went to work for Nickelodeon
    [14:58] Steve: I don't know, so..pass.
    [14:58] Serge-stiles: LOL
    [14:59] FusionFox: haha ^^
    [14:59] charlotte: lol kurt
[14:59] Nabusan: Zephyr would like to ask: Now that Kim and Ron work for GJ, does Wade work for them as well? If so, would he be the main guy to invent new items for Kim and Ron still?
    [14:59] Director-Bailey: X-Men II, not X-D
    [14:59] Steve: Yeah, he's Q.
[14:59] Nabusan: haha very James Bond
[14:59] Swenlin: Watching good movies/TV with my wife, going to the park with my son, chewing over the business with a beer and my peers, listening to podcasts.
[15:00] Kurt Weldon: I spend my free time yelling at my cats
[15:00] Steve: In my spare time, I actually on the upcoming Blade Runner DVD box set as a speaker.
[15:00] Director-Bailey: Hmmm.. maybe Wade is a consultant... I'm not sure that he is old enough to work
[15:00] Anitrain: From RSNET: Was the decision to equip Kim with her old waRDrobe/tech dictated by Disney Channel's desire to air Cupid Effect on the premiere night in February around Valentine's Week and your wanting to keep the new gear a secret or was it just an oversight?
    [15:00] Serge-stiles: Blade Runner! <3
[15:00] Director-Bailey: Dodn't you have to be 14 to get a work permit?
[15:00] Dracko19: Dont tell Serge that Kurt. She loves her cats
    [15:00] Serge-stiles: Cat abuse? WHERE?
[15:00] charlotte: sleeping. i actually had a production manager tell me that sleep for the writers...
[15:01] Serge-stiles: Oh yelling, cats don't care about that.
[15:01] charlotte: wasn't factoed into the schedule because it was considered...
    [15:01] charlotte: a "leisure activity"
[15:01] Swenlin: I think all post-season 4 discussions are just speculation - it doesn't really matter to me. It's just as valid for you to imagine the future as it is for any of us. Things are left open for a reason.
[15:01] Kurt Weldon: I love my cats, too. But that doesn't mean I want them walking across my keyboaRD ka;gjdfsogihdgggggghhhhhhhhkjl
[15:01] Serge-stiles: Pooky just gets a smug face when he does something bad and I yell at him.
[15:01] Steve: Cupid Effect was aired out of sequence.
[15:01] Binski: RSNET: What's your personal favorite quote from the show?
[15:02] Serge-stiles: I hope no one mentions fruit...
[15:02] Director-Bailey: "Fruit helps you poop"
    [15:02] Director-Bailey: Sorry
    [15:02] Serge-stiles: LOL
[15:02] Serge-stiles: Well there you go.
[15:02] Swenlin: Yeah, Steve, I was curious as to why Joss and her mom weren't at Graduation.
    [15:02] Serge-stiles: The memorable quote.
[15:02] Binski: I was expecting that...
[15:02] Swenlin: Was it just a concern that if she was there we'd have to service her and there wasn't time?
[15:02] Steve: Um, director's bad memory?
[15:02] RD: Good answer there, Brian, and I concur... the show now belongs to the fans, and it's OUR responsibility to extend the KP universe through Writing fanfics, art, and videos.

    Final 20 some minutes

    [15:03] Serge-stiles: Heheh, art.
    [15:03] Jeriddian: Here, here
[15:03] Swenlin: Fave quotes: "Mmm hm, Mm hmm, seriously, what planet are you from?"
[15:03] Dracko19: Who was it that said when an exec asked him what the kids get out of a particular episode of Kp, they said "22 minutes closer to death?"
[15:03] Director-Bailey: i did a drawing of Kim for a little girl the other day, so I'm gdoing my part to keep her alive.
[15:03] charlotte: "You think your lemon squares are all that but they're not!"
    [15:03] Serge-stiles: Aw, that's so cute.
[15:04] Steve: I don't remember, it's on the blog, though.
[15:04] RD: awww, that's cool, Chris!
[15:04] Jeriddian: I know what you eman Chris
[15:04] Serge-stiles: One of my favourites was Ron going... "....AwkwaaaaaaaRD..."
[15:04] Dracko19: SLASH: You've had Greg Weisman as a writer for a couple of episodes and is there anything you had to edit or cut from his ideas and scripts?
[15:04] RD: Mr. Ice is IN DA HOUSE!!!
[15:04] Kurt Weldon: "I like the whoosh. It is the sound of the door saying 'I am closed.'"
[15:04] Swenlin: "Your Nana's a bad grandmother---" "shut yo mouth" "I'm just talkin' about nana!"
    [15:04] Serge-stiles: LOL
    [15:04] Director-Bailey: "Can o' corn."
[15:04] Nabusan: welcome, Andy! Lets get some background questions in, guys!
    [15:04] Kurt Weldon: Hey, Andy
    [15:04] charlotte: Hey Andy
    [15:04] Director-Bailey: "Note serious face!"
    [15:05] morefood2001: Andy, sorry
[15:05] morefood2001: you now have voice
    [15:05] Andy: kurt-whats up
[15:05] Serge-stiles: I was just typing the serious face one.
    [15:05] morefood2001: WELCOME
    [15:05] Serge-stiles: LOL
[15:05] Andy: hi charlotte, Steve chris everyone
    [15:05] Steve: Yo
    [15:05] Director-Bailey: hey!
    [15:05] Serge-stiles: Ahoy!
[15:05] Jeriddian: Are those cancer patients you are talking about, Chris?
    [15:05] FusionFox: welcome everybody!
[15:06] Binski: Glad you could make it Andy!
[15:06] Dracko19: SLASH: You've had Greg Weisman as a writer for a couple of episodes and is there anything you had to edit or cut from his ideas and scripts?
    [15:06] Director-Bailey: nope, just daughter's of friends I have.
[15:06] Kurt Weldon: I don't know that there's anyone here who can answer that one
[15:06] Andy: if we didnt have our one day of rain this year I wouldnt have
    [15:06] Director-Bailey: pass
    [15:06] Steve: pass
[15:06] Kurt Weldon: But since stuff gets edited and cut from all scripts, probably
[15:06] FusionFox: ARA: Why did it say 2007 on Kim's yearbook when THE FULL MONKEY happened in 2004 - The Year of the Monkey? 2004 should have been Kim's Junior year, right?
    [15:07] Director-Bailey: : pass
    [15:07] Steve: pass!
    [15:07] Serge-stiles: because it's 2007 now.
    [15:07] charlotte: magic?
    [15:07] Serge-stiles: Lol.
[15:07] Nabusan: hehe, we love contradicting your dates
[15:07] Kurt Weldon: That was Greg Weisman's fualt
[15:07] RD: We have LOTS of Bob and Mark questions, guys, and we may have another chat with them, hopefully
[15:07] FusionFox: lol, shouldve seen that coming
    [15:07] Kurt Weldon: fault
[15:07] charlotte: a wizaRD did it?
    [15:07] Binski: cartoon logic....
[15:07] Jeriddian: From MRDrP: 1) In Clean Slate, after Kim regains her memory, Was the "I think" Kim's realizing for the first time that she loves Ron or was it a hedge, allowing fans who like K/R to say they love each other and those who don't to say otherwise?
    [15:07] Serge-stiles: The Bean wizaRD.
    [15:07] FusionFox: lol charlotte
[15:08] Steve: Pass! It's the new 'no comment'!
[15:08] Nabusan: Zephyr would like to ask: How do you guys find your VAs? Be it Kim Possible or other shows? And I'll probably add for the writers, how does it feel having a famous VA play your character?
    [15:08] Serge-stiles: I think I love you, but there's a chance I don't
[15:08] Director-Bailey: Agents... by watching TV....
[15:08] RD: I think that would be totally up to Lisa, right?
[15:09] Director-Bailey: voice actng is haRDer than you think
[15:09] charlotte: casting directors doing their job
[15:09] Director-Bailey: No, we worked with Lisa, but Mark and Bob had specific ideas about who they wanted
    [15:09] Swenlin: Hey Andy!
[15:09] Kurt Weldon: The only time I cared about the VA was for The Big Job -- RicaRDo Montalban is not always available to play SSS.
[15:09] Anitrain: TK of SDS asks: If you were to do Kim's college years, would you pull a feeny, where Barkin goes from teaching high school to teaching college?
[15:09] Director-Bailey: I auditioned so many people for kim...
[15:09] Steve: We actually made to re-cast some actors, because they didnt work out.
[15:09] Swenlin: I story edited Greg on Big Bother.
[15:09] Andy: hi brian-hey youre right down the hall from me now
    [15:09] Swenlin: Woot!
[15:10] FusionFox: the mischief you can have now...
    [15:10] charlotte: "pull a feeny" -- eww!
    [15:10] Serge-stiles: LOL
[15:10] Director-Bailey: I saw a couple newer epidoes where Ron's voice was pitched up... i didn't like it
    [15:10] Director-Bailey: who's idea was that?
[15:10] Serge-stiles: Ron's voice got higher and higher
[15:10] Steve: I don't think anyone thought past the finale.
    [15:10] Kurt Weldon: greg weisman's
[15:10] Director-Bailey: RicaRDo was great. He acted out a Kahn scene for me.
[15:10] Binski: live question [12:04] Jinxs_: So what brand Kims car actually is or did it take its models from somewhere?and who came up idea villain with most badical mullet mode guy Motor Ed?
[15:10] Steve: Yes, some big names.
[15:10] Swenlin: Greg and I hashed out the story and he executed it perfectly. I did very little to his script except for a pass on the dialogue to tweak the verbage.
    [15:11] Serge-stiles: Seriously.
[15:11] Nabusan: I think it was an SL Coupe or something, but that's Kim world brandage
[15:11] Swenlin: I could be mistaken, but I think all of the show title reference were mine. Monkey Fist saying "So the Drama" and Ron telling Yori she can admit to a little "emotion sickness".
[15:11] Director-Bailey: Carly Pope auditioned for Kim. We really liked her, but she wasn't right
[15:11] RD: The original Sloth looked a lot like an old 'Henry J' to me...
[15:12] Andy: Shane Poindexter designed Kim's car based on the coupe and his own warped imagination-Shane had also designed a bunch of vehicles for Batman
[15:12] Dracko19: SLASH: Assuming you could have taken the show in a more continuity-heavy direction (i.e. with multi-ep arcs and such, similar to Buffy), would you have done so?
    [15:12] RD: ahhh, thanks, Andy
[15:12] Director-Bailey: The sidekick girl from Buffy was the voice in our first pilot, but she wasn't commanding enough
[15:12] Swenlin: Again, I'd prefer to not discuss post season 4 speculation.
    [15:13] Steve: Alyson Hannigan
    [15:13] Director-Bailey: No, i hate continuity
[15:13] Swenlin: But yeah, if it were up to me, Barkin would still be in the series.
[15:13] Anitrain: Alyson Hannigan dud the first pilot? Cool.
[15:13] Kurt Weldon: Contintuity arcs are really problematic in animation.
    [15:13] Anitrain: *did
[15:13] RonStoppable: Well, guys? I gotta bail.
[15:13] Director-Bailey: it becomes a drag... you end up becoming a slave to it rather than creating fun shows. I think there should be lose continuity, but one shouldn't go too crazy
[15:13] Steve: I LOVE continuity. Differences make the world go 'round!
[15:13] Kurt Weldon: you can't always count on the shows coming back in the oRDer they went out, so you can't count on delivering them in the oRDer they should be shown
[15:13] Andy: especially since the episodes are rarely run in oRDer
[15:13] FusionFox: *LIVE QUESTION* Dipstick: Was it ever decided what the P in Drakken's name stands for?
[15:14] Director-Bailey: continuity is not entertainment by itself
    [15:14] Jeriddian: good point
    [15:14] Binski: Gertrude?
[15:14] Kurt Weldon: I once worked on a show where we had to air a Part Two when we hadn't even received Part One yet. I had to build a recap out of a show that didn't exist
    [15:14] Director-Bailey: lol
    [15:14] Steve: P?
[15:15] Kurt Weldon: Binski -- I owe you a dollar!
[15:15] Director-Bailey: like in Clerks, our second show was a clip show
[15:15] Swenlin: The Roth SL aka "Sloth" was my reference to writer, story editor, producer Bob Roth.
[15:15] RonStoppable: Oh and before I go, Chris, I got two woRDs for ya: Monkey Powers. So don?t be talkin smack bout me behind my back!
[15:15] Binski: not Canadian... I hope...
    [15:15] Director-Bailey: LOL
[15:15] RD: AHHH, THAT explains the 'Sloth'
    [15:15] Director-Bailey: I'l be careful
    [15:15] RD: thanks!
[15:15] Kurt Weldon: hey, the Canadian dollar is at parity right now
    [15:15] RonStoppable: check ya later!
    [15:16] RD: bye, Ron
[15:16] RD: hug kimmie for us!
[15:16] RD: And ON with the show!
[15:16] Jeriddian: From Lunchmeat: Any thought given to background on Ned? Is he Kim's age or older?
    [15:17] Director-Bailey: Who's ned?
    [15:17] Swenlin: Seeya Ron
[15:17] Kurt Weldon: He's older -- he'd have to be
[15:17] Director-Bailey: wa ned in season one?
    [15:17] Steve: I think he's a little older.
[15:17] Jeriddian: asst manage bueno nacho
[15:17] Kurt Weldon: guy's already the Assistant Manager at Bueno Nacho -- he's a career man!
    [15:17] Director-Bailey: Oh, right
    [15:17] Director-Bailey: Oh right
[15:17] Swenlin: OH. Right. Ned. A little older.
    [15:17] RD: Eddie Deezen
    [15:17] Director-Bailey: I remember now
[15:18] Swenlin: What great casting there, eh?
[15:18] Nabusan: lol, i loved how he flirted with Monique in The Cupid Effect
    [15:18] Director-Bailey: he was funny
    [15:18] RD: yup

    [15:18] Director-Bailey: No idea
[15:18] Kurt Weldon: the P is silent

[15:19] Swenlin: Alright, I need to wrap it up.
[15:19] Swenlin: Any final question for me before I go?
[15:19] Kurt Weldon: and put some ice on it?
[15:19] Director-Bailey: I am running out of gas too... I have about 5 minutes left in me
    [15:19] RD: lunch?
[15:19] charlotte: what is the meaning of life?
[15:19] Kurt Weldon: How's Oso going? in the crapper, right?
[15:20] Nabusan: The only finale question I have is: By the season Finale, how old are Kim and Ron?

[15:21] Swenlin: lol Chris, you crack me up...

[15:25] Director-Bailey: I'm not sure what you mean... we drew props in the bgs sometimes
[15:25] Andy: backgrounds were everything that doesn't 'move'-when it moves, it drawn by a 'prop' designer

Wow. That is one interesting chat. Plenty of off-topicness, I might add. But the answers were cool. It's nice of them to have done that.

    Wow... that's confusing to read.

Love the running gag about Gertrude, though.

Binski: question from RSNET: What was the craziest idea anybody on the show ever suggested you to do in the show?
Kurt Weldon: Someone suggested we construct an episode around the importance of a healthy diet
So "Grande Size Me" was shoved down their throats! YES!

[14:16] Director-Bailey: The cruelest joke I ever did to the overseas artists was design Shego's costume. I still can figure out how it works with the black and green pattern. I just did a little drawing from one view and let them figure it out...
I'd always had that nagging suspicion that Shego's costume made enemies at Rough Draft...

FusionFox: question from RSNET: Was Dr. Freeman's name from Car Trouble a reference to Dr. GoRDon Freeman from the video game Half Life?
You know, I'd been wondering about that.

[14:38] Director-Bailey: Did Gil ever come back?
[14:38] Kurt Weldon: he did -- they made him a VP of Development

[14:45] FusionFox: SLASH: Have you seen any of the Kigo fanart? If so, what did you think?
[14:46] Director-Bailey: No, i haven't seen much Kim art, except for some naughty things that people pass on
[14:46] Steve: I'm taking heat from KIgo shippers.
    Bailey's answer was.... unexpected.

And, like time travel, it raises a cornucopia of disturbing concepts - who's the slacker with too much free time that's passing them on? :P

Had Mr. Loter's answer been spoken, I'd bet he would've include some sullen grumbling along with it. :P

[14:58] Jeriddian: From Cpneb: 1) What ever happened to Slim's wife/Joss' Mom?
[14:58] Kurt Weldon: She went to work for Nickelodeon

[15:12] Director-Bailey: The sidekick girl from Buffy was the voice in our first pilot, but she wasn't commanding enough.
"...Last year, some kid called me ma'am."
    "So...? You command respect!"
"I was dressed as a clown!"

    ----

Can we also get the blogs/RS.net posts where plot elaborations are alluded to?

Yea.. It seems where in good company when we do it. It just happens though. I was hoping to see alot more Q's? Get asked but hey... who's to say we would of got an answer? I Had a good laugh from the chat though.... But I think I laughed the hardest when Kurt say "oh no -- you're not pinning that one on me!" I dunno how many times i've said that... It's good to see someone else say it.

I was somewhat frustrated by how easily and often people winged off topic, not to mention the amount of seemingly unnecessary chatter. This was one of - if not the - last chats with the KP crew. We should have gotten in more questions than that.

[15:06] FusionFox: ARA: Why did it say 2007 on Kim's yearbook when THE FULL MONKEY happened in 2004 - The Year of the Monkey? 2004 should have been Kim's Junior year, right?
    Wow, I'd never noticed that.

EDIT: Speaking of which, I've gone through my iTunes version of "Graduation" and I can't find a print-legible shot of the cover. How and where did someone find "2007?"

Well... there was talk of doing it again because of Bob and Mark not being there... but we'll see it that will happen or not hopefully soon.

Having to make a statement about a healthy diet explains Ron's comments after the end of the episode.

The comments about Shego's costume: priceless!

I like the fact that they are catching heat from the KiGo shippers.

The Nickelodeon comment originally bummed me, but I got to thinking and talking to someone who's been in the industry:
This statement is most likely code for 'they got divorced.' Of course, this can't happen in the Disney world, so code would make sense.

Either that, or they just never considered her and never thought that anyone would ask about her.

    Loved the Gurtude gag!

[14:28] Kurt Weldon: because he used to work for Disney
