New Feature on the Forum - Gender Indication

As requested by some of our members of the fairer sex, I have installed a new gender field in the user control panel. If you are so inclined, simply go to your user control panel and click on Edit Profile. In teh first box, you will see the field where it asks you to choose your gender. If you wish not to do so, simply leave in blank.

It will show up just over your post count on the right hand side as a blue male or pink female symbol. it will be blank otherwise.

    Thanks jeriddian!

It's just been so hard... I've been so confused if I was male or female everytime I read my posts...

    Anyway, cool addition!

    Yeah, me too!
Anyway, I've just updated my profile.
I like the color scheme - blue for boys, pink for girls! :P

What the heck. Normally I prefer not to specify gender, but the use of Mars/Venus symbols persuaded me. :P

Edit. Is there a way to change the gender description to symbols on the 'member list' page?
Why is everyone who drives slower than me an idiot, and everyone who drives faster a maniac?

Hmmm.....didn't notice that. I'll have to see how to make the change in the code to account for that. Gotta do some research on it.

Reminds me of the board I was on seven years ago... they decided to use the rank icons to identify gender; blue for male, pink for female, and standard orange if you didn't want to pick. The icons, incidentially, were Dragon Balls, since this was a board based on DBZ.
