I was watching some wallaceb screen caps about "graduation" when I noticed some weird thing.

Is Ron's mother the ONLY female character in the whole series without the trademark of the show that is upper lip thing?

I tell you what.... the no bottom lip thing bugged the crap out of me from an artist stand point... I just didn't get why they did it like that.

yeah true I fortot about DNAmy, my bad.
But Ron's mom appeared in more episodes and definetly had a more important role than DNAmy, why they decided not to put the upper lip in those two characters then?

There's more of a family resemblance between Ron and his mom with her mouth drawn the way it is. That's probably why they made that choice.

Good observation. The no upper-lip thing bugs me, though. It'll probably be extremely noticeable every time I watch KP after this.

True. In fact, in "October 31" when Kim and Ron retrieve the stolen Centurion Project from Drakken and Killigan, the animators accidentally colored in Kim's lower lip in one shot. Made her look rather awkward for a moment there. Clearly, having both Kim's lips colored in does not work - especially since she wasn't designed that way. Originally Posted by Fireand'chutes77
