Sorry to rub in it Cloud, as it is not my intention, but I actually have a date on V-day... for the first time!

And this date... is actually very different. We're going out to dinner, and then, as her suggestion, we'll go back to her place and pop in Love Hina Again... Seriously, her idea instead of me taking her to the movies. She said it be more fun. (NO BAD IDEAS GENTLEMEN!)

Enjoy it. I've been single by choice so I really can't complain all that much.

Anyways... the TSA finally announced enrollment for the TWIC card for my area. February 29th... I also just realised that it was a leap year. Right now i'm playing around with the pictures I took at the Chicago Auto Show. It worked out for me to go for free with my uncle and aunt. I finally got to see my future car that i'm going to get someday. The dodge challenger was sooo pretty. They had the Hemi orange, Jet back and Silver... I want the lime green when they make it so this years version won't be for me.

I've seen pictures of that. It's amazing how closely it resembles the one my college roommate had back in the 70s.

Now here's what I call a car. Reminds me of the one my dad had when I learned to drive, except his was red and a 4-door. We had to bump out the back wall of the garage when he bought that, it was so long.

Today was a pretty bad Valentine's Day on my end. No boyfriend, no friends to be "valentine's" with since they were all sick at home, some tests, and a long and lonely bus ride in the dark.

On the plus side, my school newspaper will be releasing the next issue in the near future, which is good since this issue was supposed to be out before Christmas, originally.

Also, my friend and I are giving a (sort-of) project of ours to a teacher tomorrow to review over the break, and I hope it turns out well. One of my friends is coming back tomorrow, but she may be going to Florida over the break, all this after we made detailed plans over the break. I think I should find a place to go on vacation. It seems to be a popular idea with people.

Yesterday at work, I was scurrying back and forth between the mail room and my new cubicle in Order Entry. My boss gave me a new job assignment: to go through the Order Entry in-box on our computer system, and sort through the e-mails there to give them to the right people - new customers to one person; upgrades/downgrades to another; supply orders to a third - well, you get the idea. The work's fairly easy now that I know what to look for in each e-mail; it's just that I had to keep checking that in-box throughout the day because the messages came in fairly steadily. Fortunately, I had a light workload in the mail room. There wasn't much incoming mail to be delivered, and only a handful of outgoing stuff to be processed. So I did OK managing both. My boss warned me, however, that Friday was a "slow day" (in her words) for those messages. They usually come in faster, and in greater volume, than what I dealt with. This is just a part-time task in addition to my regular mail room duties. My boss knows that when the big runs of outgoing invoices come in to be processed, I won't be able to check that in-box. She understands that; this new job is to provide some relief for the folks who normally do Order Entry.
Today, I finally did it - I bought a cell phone. It's one of those Motorola "TracFones" you can buy at Wal-Mart for under $15.00. I also bought a card for 60 minutes (that was about $16-18.99). Because I set the phone up on-line, I got a bonus: 20 extra minutes free! (I like free...) Unfortunately, I can't download any ring tones on it, so there go my hopes of loading the Kimmunicator beep into it. I selected the least annoying tone - the one that sounds (somewhat) like a bell ringing - for my ring tone. I also charged the battery up right away like the instruction manual told me to. Now I've got a means of communication in case of emergencies, like last week's tire blow-out.
I also bought a new pair of shoes, and a belt pouch to hold my cell phone and my car keys. After a while, all that junk tends to wear out a guy's pocket linings...

Being able to get a lot more rest the past couple of days, I'm feeling much, much better. I'm pretty much back to normal for this time of year (which means I'm still blowing my nose a lot, but like I said, that's normal for me for this time of year). No more sore throat, no more pounding headaches, no more feeling like I just want to keel over...

I had a rather stressful week, with tons of homework. I also narrowly avoided becoming involved in a love triangle I had no interest in, preventing it from becoming a love quadrilateral. Trust me, there was no way I'm gonna get involved in something that is amusing to watch from the sidelines, unless it is unavoidable. It's not even a serious love triangle, merely existing to be humorous, so I try to stay out of it. It's a bit hard though for a few reasons.
