    Any Good Movies or DVDs?

It seems as though this thread just up and died, so I thought I'd start it up again.
Last night, I watched my DVD of that science fiction classic, "The Day the Earth Stood Still" with Michael Rennie and Patricia Neal. A good SF movie whose message is still relevant today, over 50 years after its release.

I just bought the DVD of "Enchanted" with Amy Adams. I haven't seen it yet, but I did see in the theatres and thought it was just delightful.

It's been a long time since I had seen "The day the Earth Stood Still". It is indeed a sci-fi classic.

Nothing on tv so I popped mission impossible 3 in... It was pretty good if you like the action type of movies.

Action movies are great. I love them too. However, I refuse to watch Tom Cruise any more.

I haven't gone that far, but I do find it exceedingly hard to take the guy or his movies seriously anymore. Showfolk...

    Got that right....

EDIT: I've been watching the Season One set of KP. Specifically I watched "Crush" in German, and then French. Although they follow the script almost exactly, there are a few differences, a little moreso in the French. For example, they pronounce 'Kim Possible' without the last syllable. Ron's name is changed to 'Robin Trepid', Wade has become 'Wallace', and Shego is spelled Tchego in the credits. Another interesting change is that there is that line where Ron says, "....Tokyo! I love the French!". In the French version it comes out "Tokyo! Se Magnifique!" I can see why. It didn't make sense for a French speaking individual to misidentify Tokyo as a French city, but I think it's funny the German version kept that reference.

I've only seen the first "Mission Impossible" movie. Haven't seen the other two; don't know if I really want to. And yes, I'm just as repulsed by Tom Cruise as you guys. I frankly think he's just another self-aggrandizing fruitcake.

Besides, MI2 is just boring, like all John Woo's Hollywood movies. Same overused effects over and over again. The guy needs to think fresh.

Any good DVDs or movies? Sure, Stargate the 'Ultimate Edition.' Doesn't come with much in terms of special features, but the quality of the movie itself more then makes up for it. It's the movie that started it all, and it's awesome!
