Random Thread: You're On Notice
This is just a crazy thing I found on the net. Who (or what) would you put on notice? I thought it would be fun to share our thoughts. So here is my Notice Board.

Ran, Mike, why did each of you put yourselves on notice?

Because we're cool...
I did it because I need to keep myself in check.

I'm at that level of crazy where I might become a danger to myself and others around me, or I become a sitcom writer. Could go either way, actually.

Okay, I'll bite. What is this "You're On Notice" business, anyway? What's it mean to be "put on notice?" Is it something to do with people one doesn't approve of for some reason?

I presume this must be a reference to a portion of a television show?
Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto - “You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass.”

None of you watch the Colbert Report?
The Notice board is ultimately a joke about things that irk you. It's suppose to make you laugh. What Steven Colbert usually does is put things on the board that make no sense, like for instance, Jell-O makes an appearance on one episode.
I just found this on the web, and thought I share it with you all as a fun little thing that meant nothing big. Sorry with all the confusion.

I don't watch much television, I think I've seen the show a couple of times but it's been awhile, don't really recall anything about it.
