When we found out from his sister that "Rodney" is his middle name, and that his actual first name is... "Meredith"?
My one gripe with that pic is that it does not represent the man who, by FAR, is my favorite member of SG-1 past and present - Jack O'Neill.
I thought the final two seasons were okay, but I really am an O'Neill guy. I mean, there are just so many great moments...
"It's O'Neill, with two Ls. There's another Colonel O'Neil with only one L. He has no sense of humor at all."

I know. Of course, I know Richard Dean Anderson wanted to spend time with his kid, but still...
Personally, I don't think SG-1 should have continued after season 8 ended. All the storylines had been wrapped up, the Goa'uld had finally been defeated, and it was all set to end.
What do I think is so bad about SG-1 season 9 and 10? To quote Kim, "do you have all night?"
Fave McKay moment ... not sure. He's a pretty funny guy. I recently saw the episode of SG-1 that introduced him, where's he's from Area 51.
Should I resist or give in to my urge to list all my Stargate/KP crossover theories/plot bunnies here? ...

Hey! I liked the ninth and tenth seasons! They were fun, and I liked Cam and Vala. I think the series did fine in last two season, but, this is the USA and people are entitled to their thought, so, speak away.

Ah, yes . Even in the first episode he was hilarious.

Oh, no, feel free. We could always use more plot pumas, plot bunnies, and plot platypuses.

I'm a huge fan of Stargate: The RDA Years. After he left I watched the first few episodes, then eventually switched to only watching episodes in which RDA guest starred - similar with Atlantis. But it was difficult for me to find out ahead of time which episodes RDA was going to be in, so I stopped watching entirely.

Well, why didn't I like the ninth and tenth seasons in general? Well, for one thing, there was no storyline to continue. At the season 8, not only the Replicators, but the Goa'uld (who have been the main enemy since day 1) were defeated once and for all.) (OK, Baal survived, but by and large the snakeheads were toast.) For them to pull the Ori and the Lucian Alliance (alright, the LA was introducted - sorta - in season 8, but still...) out of their... you get my point. Mitchell seems, IMO, to be a substitute for Jack who doesn't fulfill the job of filling in O'Neill's shoes. And turning Daniel into a overly cynical sarcastic guy and hooking him up with Vala... And don't get my started on that whole Arthurian schlock.
But it's not all bad ... I look forward to seeing Continuum.
KP/SG plot bunnies ... I might post them later, as I don't really have time right now.
Though I do think I have my favorite McKay moment (so far) - in "Trio," when he tries to justify/explain himself to Sam and Keller after the innocuous comment about Sam being to heavy (for the three-bars-to-the surface trick).

Well, I liked the new stories. It was cool to see a new take on the show, and to see a threat that was far far bigger then the Goa'uld (But not as big as the Replicators). Now, I started watching Stargate midway through season 8 (The first episode I saw in it's entirety was "Avatar"), so I never had the chance to get all that attached to the tempo of the show, thus, change came easily for me; of course, it always does with TV shows.

You know, I've heard the exact same whining about Jonas, and you what? I'm sick of it! Stop treating these characters like replacements! They're their own unique characters, with their own unique personalities and quarks, stop trying to compare them to people and characters they'll never be! And by and by, even though they kissed in "Unending" I don't really think there was much going for D/V in the series. Now Vala/Tomin, that I could see, in spades. And I liked the post-ascension Danial BTW.

Stargate Atlantis Cancelled
So, did anyone else hear the news that SGA is being canceled at the end of it's fifth season?

No I hadn't heard that. How is Atlantis going, are they still fighting the vampire-like people?
Have the direct-to-dvd movies been released? I was wondering if they were worth watching.
