I read something he wrote a while ago, and I don't exactly remember where I read it (perhaps on his web page), where he said he had another 6-8 books left to write in the Honor Harrington series. But this was about a year or two ago that I read it, so there may be less books than that left to go in the saga. But I'm fairly certain it'll take more than a couple of novels to wrap everything up.

    You're probably right about that.

Well, it has been announced. The next installment of the Honor Harrington Series, called "Uncompromising Honor", will come out on October 2, 2018.

ADDENDUM: BTW, the newest volume of the "Manticore Ascendant" series about the early days of the Star Kingdom before they found the wormhole which made them rich and powerful, is now out. It is called "A Call to Vengeance". It's a good series.

I've read Uncompromising Honor, and while it does bring Honor's starring role in the storyline to an end (sorry, no spoilers; I promise), it leaves a whole bunch of other subplots open for other characters to face in future novels set in this particular universe.
I'm still trying to find out when Baen Books will publish House Of Lies. It's the second guide to the "Honorverse," like House Of Steel, only this volume will give the histories of the Republic of Haven (in its various forms of government) and the Andermani Empire. And, like House Of Steel, they'll also include color illustrations of the uniforms worn, and ship designs, as well as charts of each star nation's home solar systems.
So far, all I've heard from one of the illustrators is that they're still working on the book.
