I did a little snooping around the web yesterday. Kim has appeared in her own issues of Mickey Maus Magazin on a regular basis since 2006. Typing "German Kim Possible Comic" into Google led me to a couple of other stories.
It'd be interesting to see some more artwork from the other issues. Kim's finally been seen in some sort of swimsuit, and Bonnie's getup was *far* more spectacular than her bikini in "Return to Wannaweep." Both Kim and Bonnie's outfits would've been no-nos here. I guess the Disney Europe is more flexible about what's done with the product?
Kim and Ron at the beach!
Carpe Navi: Because you never know when you'll get to go boating at government expense again.
Go ahead and download as much as you want, spread 'em around where ever you want. Just don't bring the Wrath of Disney Lawyers down on me... (It helps take the load off my server, too...) I just figured there were enough items of interest in there and I had the ability to share Disney's property, so why not?
It's the only one I've got. But the ad on the last page (#34?) shows an issue with a cover of Kim in her supersuit, so I knew there were more. Just haven't seen them. The link provided earlier proves it, too.
I regularly check the European eBay sellers who are willing to ship to the US. It's one of the options in the detailed searches. Came across this magazine one of those searches. I'm hoping the guy who sells the puzzleballs puts them back up, because I think this month I can afford one. (Sometimes the shipping for an item is more than the price...)
(Still need to find someone selling the season 2 box set. I just don't trust myself navigating around the amazon.de site.)

Thanks so much MrDrP, for the reference and the link. I'll be sure to get on it as soon as I get back home from my present trip.

And a big thank you to you too, smithers. I don't mind hosting the images on my server. I think have the room and it won't cost me anything to do it.

What is a puzzleball?

To quote jeriddian from the previous version of this thread:
Well, the Germans always have received KP more enthusiastically than the North Americans. I feel a little peeved that we haven't been more supportive of our native daughter.
Of course, by "we" you mean the American Disney Channel and the U.S. Disney execs? In that case, I heartily concur. We fans have certainly been pushing hard for Kim here, what with the various letter-writing and e-mail campaigns (for all the good they did) - to say nothing of those of us who spent thousands of dollars buying KP toys, DVDs & other merchandise for their collections, if not for their kids who love KP.
(...It's a little embarrassing for me to admit I own at least six different Kim Possible fashion dolls, each with her own unique outfit and packaging....)
But yes, those magazine pages - especially that cover - are just fantastic......

While I will place some responsibility on those people, I actually was meaning that I'm peeved that there weren't more fans in America that were strongly supportive of her. Yes, we fans who are here are rabid and energetic, no doubt about that. But our numbers have never really been strong enough (at least of those of us who are strong supporters. There is a much larger silent majority segment, which if they had been more vocal could have turned the tide, I believe). The outpouring of support of KP in Germany was siginifacntly stronger on a per capita basis, thus prompting the events that occurred.
The Disney execs do not pass up chances for strong profit when it is presented to them. Yes, we have a strong fan base in terms of energy, but not in numbers. Now this happened with Star Trek, and it took ten years for the first movie to come out after the series ended. There were trekkie conventions, books, and a lot of other events that occurred in between to keep that fan base going, and the franchise was compeltely re-energized with four series and eleven movies so far. So far, we KP fans have not been able to match that to any siginificant degree. Part of that is the restriction placed on KP in the sense that it was a children's animated series, aimed at a very limited audience, unlike ST:TOS which was Prime Time. KP did not have, nor was attempting to gain, the broad appeal that Star Trek desired. That restriction played heavily in determining the numbers of fans there would be.
It also played a prominent role in the fate of the series as determined by Disney. Even Hannah Montana, probably the strongest DC show in a long time, and which was recently renewed for a fourth season, seemed in some way to be on the chopping block. There was a sense to me that Disney may have wanted to pull the plug to some degree. The Hannah Montana movie appeared to me to be a sort of wrap up to the series where Miley finally figures out how to deal with her double life. The entire premise of it smacked of a way to end the series. Then they seemed to make an important news story of signing Miley up for a fourth season. Something tells me that we probably won't see a fifth season, but that may depend on how the show evolves. Such is the fate of children's television programming. The target audience evolves too rapidly, and outgrows the shows.
As KP was animated, I think the show could not be advanced or utilized in quite in the same manner as a live action. Disney, of course, is shying away from animation as live action seems to be more lucratve to them from all the outside activities (concerts, promotional appearance, etc.), that the live action stars can do for them. The exception to that is Phineas and Ferb, which suggests to me that Disney is not going to completely abandon their animation roots. I have to admit I find Phineas and Ferb rather enjoyable, but not like KP. KP was just too special. It was closer to our emotional psyche.
But then that leaves us with where we go from here. If there is to be a Star Trek like revival of KP, the show will likely have to evolve. It will have to be updated, modernized somewhat, and made a little more sophisticated, and definitely aimed at a larger demographic group which will remain as strong fans for a long time, namely young adults. This would be somewhat like the change from ST:TOS to the movies; same characters, but evolved, and in more complicated, more interesting circumstances, better animation style, most likely 3D, yet keep the original Stephen Silver look about the characters, and new, more serious villains. The comedy would be less slapstick, less deprecating of Ron, but still there. And of course, KP and Ron would now be young adults now, coming out of their teen-age years, taking on more responsibility in the world, out in the world, going to college and onward, and BTW cementing their relationship strongly, although just as MBS has always maintained with Season Four, keep the relationship minimized in the background. It's important that it's there, just don't bring it into the spotlight. The best use for the relationship would be in the possible humorous aspects, just like they did with it on Season Four.
I just hope it doesn't take us ten years to make it happen. But as it has been mentioned before on this forum, it will probably take an outside influence with a special interest to make this happen. Personally, I am hoping something might happen..........in the next two to three years, if we are lucky. Star Trek made it happen with their conventions, their books, and other gathering events of their fans. Perhaps we KP fans will find a way to do something similar to support the show in a significant manner that will make the Disney execs think there would be a profitable opportunity in reviving the show.
Fan Fic, I believe, is important. On FF.net, KP has the fifth largest collection of stories of the animated cartoon category, definitely a testament to its popularity. There could be more to follow. If a follow up event, like a movie, happens to come out, perhaps KP fans could hold their own convention. This has to be a very well thought out and calculated process.
And I find it interesting that KP rated her own comic magazine and stories in Germany, but NOT in America, another testament to the higher popularity of the series in that country, which has benefitted from it in ways that we in America have not.

That would be interesting, since Kim's swim team membership is so often alluded to. Always figured Bonnie for something a bit racier than she usually wears on the show.
