i own the kp soundtrack. and am trying to match songs from the cd to episodes. can any one help me...

Okay -- these are just off the top of my head ... so it may not be completely accurate

Five songs are from the first KP movie -- "Sitch in Time":

E is For Everybody

Celebration is from "Ron Millionaire"
Summetime Guys is from "Golden Years"
Rappin' Drakken and Naked Mole Rap are both from "Rappin' Drakken"
Say the Word is from "Hidden Talent"
I'm Ready is from "Bueno Nacho" (I think)
Come On Come On is from "Queen BeBe"

and

Could it Be is from the second movie, "So the Drama"

Good recall there, Molloy. I should point out that "I'm Ready" was also used as the song during the final dance sequence between Kim and Josh Mankey in "Crush", although as I also recall it was not the original music used for that purpose when the episode first aired. If you see the episode on DC these days, "I'm Ready" is played during that episode. However, the original music when the episode first aired in 2002 is different, and was changed out later to "I'm Ready". The original music, I think, is a song called "I See You", but I'm not sure. You can hear that music on the German Season One Box Set version of the episode. Also 'It's Just You" is heard on "All the News", and "I'm Ready", I think was used again in "Naked Genius". I also believe that "This Year" was used at the end of ASiT, but only in the completed movie that was seen on DVD. The original three episode part version as well as the movie version DC airs on television ues the Tony Phillips remix of "Call Me, Beep Me", which is Track 13. I believe these facts are correct, but if anyone else out there knows differently, go ahead and pipe up. Also Track 14, the James Bondish version of "Call Me, Beep Me" that lasts for about a minute, (also sung my Angela Michael, BTW, who sings "I'm Ready"), is at the beginning of "So The Drama". We probably should put an analysis of all this as an archive in the Main Page. Anyone up to it?

Now to add little more, and forgive me for being Captain Obvious here:

Call Me, Beep Me is from KP's opening title sequence.
Call Me, Beep Me (Tony Phillips Remix) is not actually anywhere in the series, just a remixed and extended version of the original.
Call Me, Beep Me (Movie Mix) is from So the Drama as the opening sequence.
Get Your Shine On is from So the Drama, but is only available on the French KP Soundtrack (that I'm aware of).
Why Don't You Kiss Her is from So the Drama and is not on the U.S. KP soundtrack.
This is Our Year is from Graduation, Pt. 2 and is not on the U.S. KP soundtrack.

That should cover the rest of them. If you ask me, since Disney renewed KP, they should also release a third version of the Soundtrack to include all of the songs from the series. The KP score would also be nice, but unfortunately, that's really unlikely to happen.

EDIT: jeriddian, there was also a thread like this on ARA that EP had started to try pin-point all the places in the series where a song from the soundtrack was used. I'll try to see if I can find it.

We also had a thread that listed all the various bits of musical scoring in the series and in what episodes they were used and re-used. Unfortunately, that died out a few months ago due to lack of activity.

Speaking of KP music, the other day I was playing my CD of Christy Carlson Romano's album on Disney Records in my car stereo when I noticed something. Her two songs from KP, "Say the Word," and "Could It Be," were arranged on the album so they played back-to-back (one after the other). I found that odd; whenever I burn a compilation disc that has more than one song from an artist or album, I usually arrange them so they're separated - mixed with the other songs between them for more variety.

Cool, GMZ. I once considered doing that myself. In fact I may do something similar, which is take the intro credits sequence and identify the episode from which each of the scenes is taken.
