    I'm new

I'm new and trying to make myself heard. I can't post a reply and the threads are all posted in reverse chronological order.

Sorry, Manofevil, but as I explained in the PM, your registration had to be processed before you could post. Before that all your posts went into a moderation queue. This is only done to prevent bots and spammers from getting through, but everything's processed now.

    How?

How DO I change the way the posts are listed. I can't find the way to do it. Show me step by step.

    Hey, ManofEvil, welcome aboard.

Here's how to change the post listing:

    1. Click on the "User CP" ("User Control Panel") link in the upper left of your screen, in the green header bar.

    2. Find the "Your Control Panel" menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

    3. Click on "Edit Options" in the "Settings & Options" section of the CP.

    4. Scroll down to the "Thread Display Options" section.

    5. Within that section you will find options to set post order and your preferred posts-per-page count. I have my settings on "Linear - Oldest First" and "40 posts per page." (I wish there was a 50 p-p-p option.)

    Hope this helps.

    Here's how you change that:

    - Click on the User CP tab on the left hand side of the green banner that runs across the top of the page.

    - In the Settings & Options box down the left hand side, click on Edit Options.

    - Scroll down to the Thread Display Options box, then find the Thread Display Mode bracket within that box.

    - Click on the drop-down menu, and select Linear - Newest First.

Hope that helps, and welcome to the board!

Edit: Looks like Fireand'chutes77 beat me to it.

You're not new. I've seen you over at Ron Stoppable's Really Neat Page. So you're the same person, but in a different place.

The vBulletin software is equipped to have polls. However, we have never seen the need for it ourselves and so we have never activated that aspect of the forum. If there were enough interest in the membership to start having polls on a regular basis, the issue could be raised in the ED section amongst the governing members and put to a vote. However, if polls are just once in a blue moon, it probably would be best just to have a straw vote. You could start a thread and state your poll question, then others can answer in further posts on that thread. You can count the votes and tally them as they go along.
