I'll admit that I honestly don't recall ever seeing Zorro kiss his horse; so you may have a point there. But as a lifelong VW enthusiast - and thus a "Love Bug" fan as well - I can tell you that Tennessee's relationship with Herbie was strictly platonic. They were just friends; that's all.
