What Reminds You of KP? #9

This blog entry about how a food lover's most valuable tool is a camera made me recall snackblogger Ricky Rotiffle: "He photographs, catalogs and critiques every single snack he eats! It's a must-bookmark!"

Over the weekend I bought a copy of the "How to Train Your Dragon" DVD. When I opened the box to pull out the disc, I discovered a Chuck E. Cheese coupon inside. Upon seeing it, I burst out laughing because Ron's comment about JP Bearymore's Pizza Partytorium popped into my head just then:
"I come for the games, but I stay for the burnt pizza smell!"*

And this afternoon, I could smell the bacon Mom was cooking for her lunch. It made me think of Kim's dad commenting on how he loves bacon "on pretty much everything!"**:P

At the barbershop I overheard two people talking about a mutual acquaintance. I was reminded of KP ... well, not so much of KP but of her voice actress, because the friend's name was Joe Provolone.

watching "Penguins of madagascar" I saw an episode that were a Jello monster that the more fruits it ate, more it grew, and it wasn't under control. It definitely reminded me the KP episode "Mother's day" and the most fun thing is both monsters were lime green.

another episode I saw, Rico took a grappling hook, and used it.

Is that because Christy Carlson Romano has an Italian-sounding last name?
Speaking of Italy, on a box of rotini my mom cooked for dinner tonight I saw the phrase "Al dente!" - which is what the tweebs proclaimed right before they threw the muffins and pasta into mutant Ron's mouth in "Grande Size Me."

It's not just the Italian name (or else I'd have a constant reminder in my own name ), but that both Provolone and Romano are names of Italian cheeses.

There's a pet grooming service that recently moved to the business district on the main artery street a half mile east of where I live. As I drove by it the other day, I noticed a sign painted on their window next to a cartoon drawing of a skunk offering "Skunk odor removal." It reminded me of the Fearless Ferret's nemesis, "White Stripe."
    "Smell my stink spray..."

    Two things today:

Last night on TV, I saw an ad for one of those financial companies that gives you your money in a lump sum when you need it right away, instead of waiting for a monthly check from a structured annuity or legal settlement. The ad involved a baseball pitcher whose game was off because he was worried about not having money to pay all his bills. On his team's uniforms, as well as their caps, were the initials "KP.":P

At the top of an internet article I bookmarked from the Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel's website, I noticed a link to a contest that reads, "Win your local high school $500. Show your school spirit and vote for the best high school mascot." That reminded me of all the costumed mascots at the Camp Gottagrin cheer camp in Return to Wannaweep.

Tonight I saw a pretty young woman on TV who had hair exactly like KP has. It was the right color red, and the same length. It was cut and shaped with the same layered effect. It was parted the same way. It even flowed and bounced just like hers. Eeeeeeee! It's like how KP would look if she crossed over into our parallel world.

If I saw that myself I'd be touching it or something. The girl'd be like, "What the #%&@ are you DOING?" And I'd be, "Your hair looks like my hero Kimmie-Kimmie's who is very pretty and saves the world!"

Clue 29 down in today's NY Times crossword reads "Part of Mauritius's coat of arms." The answer turned out to be DODO, which reminded me of Shego in "The Twin Factor" :
"I was looking for a dodo bird."
