Re: General KP Thread 13: The 2012 Edition
I think you've right with regards to "Only Seniors as Varsity," as Kim was listed as simply "Varsity" only in Season 4, and Bonnie did not contradict Ron when equated "senior cheerleaders" with "new uniforms."

This is a scene from "Homecoming Upset":

If you ask me, that dress doesn't fit her character at all.

It turns out I was wrong. As it turns out Bonnie's skin is Caucasian (only tanned). The proof for this lies in the "Return to Wannaweep" episode when Bonnie says "Oh, I'm evening out my tan. Hope I didn't wake you." and this is how Bonnie would look like without her tan (I used Mrs.Rockwaller's skin color as a reference):

What bearing does that have on where she's from?

I don't think that it fits anybody's character. Downright uglay.

Especially the large flower pattern on the skirt. Rather tacky, if you ask me....

It's because I wrote that her Texan heritage would explain her skin tone.

How so? Texas has a pretty diverse population.

There are people here in Massachusetts who could be drawn using Bonnie's skin tone.

And California and Oklahoma and Virginia, pretty much anywhere in the US, really, one of my cousin's daughter has the same tone, especially when she's been outdoors (which is pretty much 10 months out of the year), it's the injun side of the family coming out (same thing happens to me).
People seem to lose sight of the fact that the US isn't ethnically monolithic, the way parts of the rest of the world are. Especially after the advent of the automobile, though we were a pretty mobile society even befor then. While it's rather stylized, the movie How The West Was Won provides an idea.
