I would really, really, really love for this to happen. However, 70,000 is asking for an awful lot of signatures, especially since I can't see any on the totals bar. Also, I would really like to see the proof that the Disney executives actually approved this petition. Not that I don't believe it, but you have to take these things with a grain of salt. I'd just like to see the documentation. My impression, though, is that the way KP will come back is not through this method. The fan base would have to be strongly enticed back after so long off the air, and right now, it's no longer there. It would be great if the fans showed up and signed the petition, but realistically, I don't believe they will even come close. If KP comes back, it will be by another method.

What Disney would be doing is reintroducing KP to a new generation of fans, many of which would not have been born when the show debuted. I'm skeptical about the petitions thing, though. I don't think that many companies use that method for determining policy.

Quite true, I think, a new generation of fans, and I think they could get a good run with a new fan base. The series will have to be updated in certain ways though, primarily in the graphics, I would think, and also in a whole new apporach to the show. This is because shows like Phineas and Ferb have raised the bar for quallity in the Disney shows, though not in in graphics which are still quite simple for P&F and Fishhooks for example, but in the quality of the scripting and music, especially the music where P&F is considered, and their musical output has been nothing short of tremendous. Their musical variety is nothing short of incredible, considering all of the styles of music they have done on that show. In KP's case, of course, musical variety wouldn't be the isses as much as the scripting. And while the show's scripting and storyline have always been good, I do believe it will need to increase in quality another notch to keep up with the present competition.

I agree with jeriddian. The scriptwriting will have to improve in order for a new version of KP to catch and hold an audience, given how sophisticated children's television programming has become in recent years. And he's also right about the incredible variety of music they've presented on Phineas & Ferb as well. All of the songs they've written for that series are clever and entertaining; and they also serve to help move the storyline along.
As for signing any petitions, well, I'm not sure that'll help revive a show that's been out of production for almost five years now - especially when Disney's sights are constantly on "The Next Big Thing (whatever that happens to be at the moment)."

And depending on how much muscle, cash, and demographics expansion Hasbro puts behind The Hub's flagship program, a revived Kim Possible might have to lock sabers with My Little Pony. They are in separate 'ecosystems,' sure, but you know Disney and Hasbro are competing for kids' eyeballs - and their parents' cash. And the spending power of halo 'periphery' demographics, if they can manage it.

"The Disney Afternoon" was pretty sophisticated back in the 90s, especially "TaleSpin", "Ducktales", "Gargoyles", etc. The animation was of a higher quality and so was the writing, more so than even KP and P&F, IMO.

Which illustrates my point, Muzzlehatch. Disney is not concentrating on the quality of the graphics anymore, just all the other content that goes with the show, i.e. sound, storyline, music, voices. Just look at Fishhooks and P&F. For that matter look at Adventure Time on Cartoon Network, which appears to be very popular and has the most execreble graphics I've seen yet.
