The cashier who rang up my groceries this afternoon was named Summer.
No Blizzard Watch in effect here, though.

Yesterday as I was taking out the trash, I noticed a spider crawling across the lid of our garbage can. Without thinking, I flicked it off onto our driveway. Right away I thought of Kim's line to Ron (from Roachie, if memory serves correctly):
"Ron, bugs are no big. You just - flick 'em!"

To be fair, even if they weren't that large (large for a cockroach... but still), it'd be a bit of a 'holy ****'/bowel voiding moment for anyone. Especially in numbers to make the zerg look friendly

I can sympathize with Kim a little. Years ago, I accompanied my Scout troop on a visit up to Milwaukee's Public Museum where I saw some giant-sized models of insects on display in one of their exhibits. I got a creepy, tingly feeling up and down my spine at the thought of encountering bugs that big in real life... (shudders at the memory)

Publishers Clearing House just offered me a subscription to Farm & Ranch Living magazine at 35% off the cover price. As soon as I saw the mag's name, I found myself wondering if Uncle Slim might subscribe to that.

I saw a shelf of organic childrens' cereals at the grocery store today. Two varieties made me think of KP: Panda Puffs and Leapin' Lemurs.

Contemplating a move to the country?

Well, I was trying to tempt him to move to Texas at one point............

Actually, no. The subscription to that mag was part of an on-line "brochure" I had to scroll through before I could enter on-line for their latest sweepstakes prize - $5,000.00 a week for life, with the weekly five grand going to a person of your choice after you die. Sweet!
