It's funny though, I attended the New York World's Fair in the 1960s. According to the exhibits we were supposed to have the Willie Ley torroid space stations, lunar colonies, undersea cities, flying cars and atomic powered ground cars a couple of decades ago. Actually I would love to see California's reaction to a nuclear powered automobile.

It's a good thing we don't have flying cars, considering how poorly most drivers control their vehicles traveling in only two dimensions.

I figure it would solve itself, in a Darwinian fashion, though most films depict it in a far more orderly fashion than I suspect would actually be the case.

Perhaps - but not only would bad flying-car drivers kill each other, they'd also take out innocent folks on the ground beneath them. It would truly be "chaos from the skies."

Today marks the 69th anniversary of the D-Day and the beginning of the Operation Overlord.

You know, this picture reminds me of my ex-girlfriend when she found out that I went to cinema and watched "Dawn of the dead" (the 2004 remake) without her. ;D

We had a little argument about how I went alone because I knew that she dislikes horror movies etc...

So after a few months the movie came out on DVD, and I called her to my place so we can watch the movie together. Now, one of the first scenes is when that zombie girl appears and bites the dude's neck, making him bleed out.

Her: Turn it off, turn it off, turn it off...
Me: What's the matter?
Her: I can't watch this.
Me: Told ya so.

That's funny; my ex-fiancee loved going to see horror movies. We went to see Pet Sematary, Fright Night 2, and several other such flicks together back then. Considering what a whiny little crybaby she turned out to be, I often wondered why she watched those type of films. Maybe she felt deep inside that she deserved to be punished, and scaring herself at a horror movie was her way of doing it?
