    I was, but then I learned that it's called "asexual", and that there are a lot of similar people.

    I don't think that's asexual at all. Asexual means there is no interest at all nor any attraction at all. What you describe is an aversion (or in your words disgust). That does not rule out attraction, only its denial and avoidance. And yes, there are a good number of people in that condition.

    Jeriddian's right - Asexuals are people with absolutely no interest in any kind of sex. Otherwise they're perfectly healthy, normal folks. What you're describing is being revulsed or disgusted by sex, brought on by your childhood ordeal.
