I Am Santa Claus by Twisted Radio, be time for Frederick Forsyth's The Shepherd, which is a splendid Christmas ghost story, in a couple of weeks.

Nora Bayes and Jack Norworth - Come along Mandy (1910)
They were something like Sonny and Cher of the "turn of the century" era.

I'll bet the song was put out on an old 78 RPM vinyl record platter.

Hey, I've got a turntable that can still play those!
I just need to get it out of storage, then find a place in my room to put the fool thing....

I think you mean shellac. Vinyl wasn't used much until the WW2 era.

You are absolutely, right, sir! A slip of my mind there. I stand corrected.

The Anacreon Song - it was the official song of Anacreontic Society, an 18th-century gentlemen's club of amateur musicians in London: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydAIdVKv84g
This was my reaction when I first heard that song -
Hmm...this tune sounds a bit familiar...
    Could it be that it's....
    Holy ****, it really is!

Yeah, you're right - it's the same tune!
That's okay - the "camp hymn" for our Scout camp in central Wisconsin borrowed the tune of an old fraternity song for its tune. As a matter of fact, actor Mark Hamill's alma mater, Yokohama High School in Japan, uses the exact same tune for its school song as our Scout camp did!

If you listened to a certain operetta by French composer Jacques Offenbach (1819–1880) you'd hear a little ditty that later became the US Marine Corps Hymn.
