Welcome to the new GJA Version 2.0

As you can see, the GJA has a whole new look. This is something I've been working on for about a couple of years now. The entire web site really needed to be upgraded and the coding for the old web site was positively ancient and very vulnerable to hacking to bots. The entire site pretty much had to be rewritten altogether. This has now culminated in this new version of the web site which is sleeker and has more features. Also, we have now been able to bring back to screen caps and make them available again. It is not yet finished, but the screencap library is being uploaded and sorted at this time. There have been a few glitches. You may note the signature pictures have not some across and are not being shown at the bottom of the posts. There are two options here. My programmer has assured me that he will get this fixed and get the sigpics back into place, or all you have to do is going to the settings tab in the Navbar, go down to edit your signature, and upload your sigpic again. either way it will get back into place. You will note that the site is organized so that you come to the main page for the entire forum, and then you can click the forum button itself to go to the forum. This was done for security purposes. Please feel free to offer suggestions on improvement or point out any other glitches you may run across. In the meantime, enjoy the new GJA 2.0!

Well, my programmer is busy reloading all of the screencap images back up into the gallery. There are still a few glitches her and there that we will clear out over the next several days. Some of you may have unintentionally been put into moderation with your posts. How that happened, but I will find out and clear it up. In the meantime, be sure I will get your posts onto the forum. Soon I will be posting the gallery of TWD's library of KP products. The gallery being used for the screencaps should be quicker and easier to use than the old gallery also. We should be seeing a lot better security on this site with better and more updated coding, so we won't be getting all these bot attacks. They had not been successful before, but now they will have even less chance of mucking things up, according to my programmer. I hope to get more 3-D images placed into the site also, as soon as I can get them produced. As for other things?................I'm just waiting for your suggestions.

I've got one more photo of a KP product I bought that I need to send you! I'll zap it to you over the weekend. Also, don't forget about that KP slideshow I did, based on Johnny Carson's classic "Copper Clapper Caper" sketch. I'm eager to see how everyone likes that.

Further news. I have eliminated the usergroups categories which we used to grant various permissions such as the number of emails that can be sent, ability to edit or delete posts, size and number of Avatar pictures and sigpics, etc. Instead, everyone's ranking will be listed. You will note that your general user group is listed first (i.e registered user, administrator, moderator, etc.) after which your ranking is listed.) At this point, I think it means very little as to what members are allowed or not allowed according to their ranking. The one big difference is that the Elite Discussion forum is still restricted to the Governors of the Forum. All members will now be able to see this forum show up, but it will essentially be blank in terms of information. Access to it will only be allowed by Governor's password. Which is no different than it has been in the past. Getting rid of the usergroup ranking system was needed in order to simplify the tasks of my programmer in getting this forum regulated and into place, and to fix glitches. For those at Exalted Elder status or better who had your own custom title, let me know who you are, and I will use the admin panel to instate that permission, as that has to be done a little differently than form the usergroup method. Again, please play with the site and let me know of glitches or things you think can be improved. I'll keep looking into your image distortion TWD.

Sorry, guys. Still working out the glitches. For some reason the moderation queue still sporadically comes on for some strange reason I can't figure out. I'll talk to my programmer about it. In the meantime, I will of course get the posts out of the queue as soon as I see them. Also, We've managed to hid the Elite Discussion forum again so that only the forum governors can see it listed. That adds extra security to it.
