It's never too early to start teaching kids about electrical safety. Once she understands how to buy good outlets, it is an excellent idea to educate her about switches, wiring, fuses and fixtures. I'd never heard of Wrentham being a source of outstanding electrical supplies, I'll have to tell my cousin that lives in New Bedford.

I took the Saab to the tire store because I detected a slow leak in one tire. Ended up getting 3 new tires for it.

Every time I see or hear SAAB mentioned, I am reminded of a girl I dated for a while. She maintained that the highest mark of friendship was to work on her car, which was one of the old 3 cylinder SAABs. She was right. I am pretty much at home with timing, aspiration and fuel flow in tuning an engine, SAAB had apparently developed some fifth principal that still remains unknown to me, I never did get that beast to run quite right (the girl ran quite well, thank you). Maybe I needed a crystal for the rear view mirror or something. That car always sounded like one of those single cylinder Diesel engines that were once common on European fishing boats. Curious.

On the 7th of February, I took my '05 Passat to the VW dealer because the "Check Engine" light was on, and came out with a new car!

I was supposed to visit with friends today, but our host unexpectedly got sent to the hospital by his doctor yesterday. So I schlepped some stuff over to my storage cubicle, did some light shopping, and washed the car. And since Mom's visiting with a friend of hers, my brother and I are on our own for dinner since she had a late lunch. (That's OK, though - he'll whip up a homemade pizza. And his pizzas are really good!)
