It's never too early to start teaching kids about electrical safety. Once she understands how to buy good outlets, it is an excellent idea to educate her about switches, wiring, fuses and fixtures. I'd never heard of Wrentham being a source of outstanding electrical supplies, I'll have to tell my cousin that lives in New Bedford.

Well, her dad's a plumber so the building trades are in her blood.

I took the Saab to the tire store because I detected a slow leak in one tire. Ended up getting 3 new tires for it.

Every time I see or hear SAAB mentioned, I am reminded of a girl I dated for a while. She maintained that the highest mark of friendship was to work on her car, which was one of the old 3 cylinder SAABs. She was right. I am pretty much at home with timing, aspiration and fuel flow in tuning an engine, SAAB had apparently developed some fifth principal that still remains unknown to me, I never did get that beast to run quite right (the girl ran quite well, thank you). Maybe I needed a crystal for the rear view mirror or something. That car always sounded like one of those single cylinder Diesel engines that were once common on European fishing boats. Curious.

On the 7th of February, I took my '05 Passat to the VW dealer because the "Check Engine" light was on, and came out with a new car!

I went to do my taxes tonight, and discovered I'm missing a set of W-2 forms from my current employer. So I went on-line to try & get copies from the agency's website, only to find that my attempt to fix my computer using "System Restore" last night uninstalled my Google Chrome software and my Adobe Acrobat reader! Once I reinstalled those, I discovered that I forgot my password for my employer's website. So now I'm awaiting their e-mail giving me a temporary password, and I'm no closer to getting my taxes done than I was 5 hours ago!
Rrrrrgh....

Isn't it frustrating when that happens to you?

Well, I got those password issues resolved, and obtained a copy of my W-2 forms last night. Once that was done, I got my tax forms all filled out and mailed off - including the forms I needed to send the IRS about my identity theft issues from February.
Thankfully, I'm getting tax refunds from both the Fed and the state of Illinois!

Our daughter went back to work this week, so we babysat our granddaughter today. We'll now be taking care of her every Friday until summer vacation.
