I had a busy day at work, assembling & prepping the import files I'm given to work on. Then after driving home in the rain, I got roped into helping my brother take down some of our outdoor Halloween decorations before I got to take out the trash, and eat dinner. I was damp and grumpy by the time I got through with everything, let me tell you. then I relaxed and watched some TV for a while.
EDIT: I also made a hotel reservation for Chambanacon, which runs over Thanksgiving weekend down in Normal, IL, today on my lunch break.
After the year I've had, I am so looking forward to that trip....

I washed my back deck this afternoon. Everything was covered in a fine layer of granite dust since a work crew spent the last two days drilling holes in the exposed rock face so they can hang wire mesh over it. It's going to ruin my view, but they say it's necessary for safety.

At least the builder is paying 70% of the cost.

Daughter #2 flew in from the left coast for an education conference, and came a day early to visit her sister & us. While visiting, she informed us we're getting our first Californian grandchild next May!

    Wonderful, Campy! Many congrats!

So, that is Daughter #2's first one, right. How many does Daughter #1 have? I forget.
