How Was Your Day? Edition 18

I spent my afternoon setting up my new-to-me iPhone 6S. Priority #1: getting the Kimmunicator ringtone on it!

Mrs. campy needs a new mobile phone, so she ordered an iPhone X today. She's turning into such a hipster!

Today I did my laundry (only one small load left); hand-washed two baseball caps; and swept the second-floor hallway & stairs. That's pretty much what I intended to do today so I can scrap my "To-do" list.

Mrs. campy & I went to an event at our favorite local wine shop where we tasted a bunch of wines and ordered some to fill the empty spaces in our wine cellar.

We also stopped at a discount store where I bought a new sweatshirt to sleep in. It will replace the ratty old Cape Cod sweatshirt I've been using for many years.

(Sadly, I was not a guest at Martin Smarty's Cape Cod mansion when I acquired that item.)

I went to College Station over the weekend to buy a new car for my younger niece as the old one had finally gotten too old to keep repairing. Got a pretty good deal too, I think. Brand new 2017 Nissan Altima for $18,000 and change (list $26,000). Sure knocked down the payments pretty good.

With the 2018 models on sale now, the dealers are naturally anxious to get last year's models off the lot. Hence the drastic reduction in sticker price you got.
Same thing happened to me when I bought both my 2005 Passat, and the '14 model. In fact, the '14 model was already 17 months old by the time I bought it in February of '15! It was built in early September of 2013, delivered to the dealer in November of that year and had been on their lot 'til the day I took it home. First thing the salesman said when he showed me the car sitting in the showroom was, "I can knock $5000.00 off the sticker for you right now!"

Today at work, I processed & closed out 33 file folders holding import documents (I work for a logistics company that ships cargo around the world by land, sea, and air transport). That nasty head cold I had has finally cleared up, although I've had to take more potty breaks due to the effect my prostate cancer treatment's had on my bladder. Fortunately, my boss is very understanding about my problem, since her father-in-law underwent cancer treatment of his own not too long ago.

Today I washed off the deck at campy condo, and brought the outdoor table & chairs up from the basement and washed them too.

Daughter in San Francisco reports that, efforts to turn the baby head-down having failed, our California Girl grandchild will be delivered via Caesarean two weeks from tomorrow (if not sooner).

    Edgar is deceased

....Who was my HP desktop PC. That's okay, most computers don't last for 16 years. All the programs, the ancient OS and hard drive are total wreckage. Maybe the motherboard is still good, I don't know. Spare parts can still be salvaged, WTF.

Currently I am using the "item" that Jeriddian sent a number of years ago instead. Lots of use out of that too.

Today the "new" PC arrived from a discount shop. The time was right, during a relative calm period with no financial or medical disasters to pay for. It is refurbished and lab compliant and under warranty, so lets see. It has all the newest fancy pants stuff on it so it will take me some schooling to understand.
