We usually don't get a polar vortex all the way down to Houston, but a stand by generator is a good idea. My brother in law (he lives in the UP of Michigan) has had one for five years and I've thought more and more about it.

I really need to get a generator before hurricane season kicks in, but funds are tight now since I got my summer courses cut.

Work was busy today. The paperwork took all morning. Then four patients in the afternoon.

Yesterday the oral surgeon had to cut into the gum to put the screw in for the implant. Still bleeding a little.

On antibiotics to deal with an infection. Otherwise it looks like a quiet weekend--the calm before the storm as my students will be taking their midterms next week.

Mrs. campy is back from Gillette Stadium where she received her first vaccine dose. (I go on Sunday.) She reports that the process fully lived up to the standard of the horrid website experience last week.
