    RIP Harlan Ellison

Harlan Ellison, novelist and TV writer, died in his sleep last Wednesday night. He's best remembered for his science fiction novels & short stories, particularly the Star Trek original series episode City On The Edge Of Forever. He was 84 years old.

Oh.....yeah, you're right. Sorry. I often tend to associate these two writers together since they are both early greats of the sci-fi world.

I just bought a collection of some of Harlan's stories, and having read a few, I'm of the impression that he liked to write tales suitable for programs like "The Outer Limits" or "The Twilight Zone" - many contain a wind-up-in-hell "twist" ending, the type often found in episodes of those two series.
