Good point. But as long as the remakes are making them money (and good money at that), they'll probably continue to do that.

You're right about that, but IIRC, Disney hadn't done a full-length animated film in years when it made "The Little Mermaid" & released it in late '89. All the pundits pointed out what a risk Disney was taking with that film - would it recapture the Disney "magic," or would it flop? Fortunately for all of us, it was a resounding success at the box office. And we had a resurgence of Disney animation that's given us a new generation of classics. Now, IMHO, it's time for the House of Mouse to take a chance again, and produce an original live-action movie that will touch us all and capture our hearts & imaginations. They can do it - of that I'm certain. They just have to try.

Reasonable, I admit. And to be hoped for.

Recently I saw the Hobbs and Shaw spin-pff from the Fast and Furious series. Pretty enjoyable diversion and worth seeing.

I watched the first 3 entries of that franchise on Netflix recently.

    I've seen lots worse movies.

I'm looking forward to Frozen 2. The second trailer is out and it looks very interesting.

I've now seen numbers 4, 5, and 6 and 8 in the Fast & Furious franchise. And I've borrowed the Blu-ray of 7 from America's First Public Library, so I will watch that one soon.

I'm going to try and catch Maleficent this week. Still anticipating Frozen II with baited breath. It really looks good on the previews.

I may finally get to see Avengers: Endgame tonight. It's supposed to be one of the selections on the flight I'm taking.

Go and see Frozen II. I did tonight. It's epic, and that's all I'm going to say about it.
