I just saw Shazam. I can honestly say that it was a very enjoyable movie, and I recommend it.

I finally watched Mary Poppins Returns on DVD last week. What a delightful musical, and a worthy sequel to the original!
I also have Ralph Wrecks The Internet on DVD; watched that too. Great film!

Yeah, the Princesses made me laugh.
And I am so looking forward to seeing the Avengers flick. Either tomorrow or Saturday I'll catch a showing.

    I saw it tonight. WOW....
    What an epic..!!
Based on what happened in this film, where do you think they'll go with the next Marvel movies? This film both answered questions, and raised new ones.

Movies I watched on my recent transcontinental flights: Wreck-It Ralph and its sequel, Creed II, and SpiderMan: Into the Spiderverse. All enjoyable time-passers.

Last night I dug out my DVD of Disney's animated classic, The Sword In The Stone. Wonderful film - it's still fun to watch 56 years later.

There are plans to remake that into a live action film, but no planning has taken place yet. Looking forward to The Lion King coming out this week.
Also you may have heard that the casting for Live action The Little Mermaid has taken place and Ariel is being played by a young black performer by the name of Halle Bailey:

You know, turning animated films into live-action ones is good and all, but I'd like to see Disney come up with a good, original live-action film for once - something new and fresh that hasn't borrowed from something they've done in another medium. Disney & Pixar (as well as other animators they've teamed up with) have recently come up with a lot of new animated stuff, and I'm happy with those. But let's see Disney do something along the lines of the classic live-action films they've produced over the last 50 or 60 years. (And I'm not counting the Marvel movies in this, because those are in a completely separate genre.) Surely they can come up with something that could eventually become a classic in its own right?
