I was reading the etiquette forum I'm a member of, (the one with a member named KimPossible) and another posted mentioned that they hate monkeys.

Also, I'm reading a novel with a character who carries a pet around in his pocket. It's a kitten, not a naked mole rat.

We took our granddaughter to a playground this afternoon. A young mom (or nanny?) was wearing a tee shirt from her high school cheerleader days.

Mom told my brother she's adding bacon to his shopping list for Wednesday. All I could think of was Kim's dad telling her mom,
"Well, you know I like bacon on practically anything...."

I've been watching a number of Christy Carlson Romano's Youtube recordings. She's changed her life around, having gotten married, having two sons, living in Austin, Texas, with her family. She reminisces about her days with Disney, her experiences with the company, in making KP and Even Stevens and other projects, her thoughts about the Hollywood scene and the things that have happened in her life now that she's left the whole acting scene behind her (and things like how she lost certain roles or how she lost the money she made). She's in her late 30's now and it's nice to see how she has grown as a person. It is interesting to see the changes in her life at the stage she is in now. She got her husband to also make some videos for her on his experiences.

Iíve been reminded of KP by the many bare midriffs on display here in Italy.

I was in the town library this morning and stopped to view the display case holding the historic volumes donated by Benjamin Franklin to the town back in 1786.

I was reminded of the ancient book of monkey magic which Ron stole from Monkey Fist thinking it was the school library's lost History of Cheese book.

Rewatching the 2011 ABC series Pan Am has been reminding me of KP. The stewardess Kate (actress Kelli Garner) is a redhead who has a side job as a covert courier for the CIA. So she's sort of saving the world, if you squint a bit.

There's also the matter of her jealousy when her younger sister also joins the airline and ends up on the same crew. Laura (Margot Robbie) upstages Kate much as Jim and Tim do when they transfer to Middleton High in "Trading Faces." In the end, however, both Kate and Kim decline offers to move the younger sibs away and agree to share their turf.

Going to the grocery store tonight, I spotted a balloon tied to a chair outside the entrance as part of a promotional display. The balloon was white with the phrase "Woo hoo" printed on it in black letters. It reminded me of Shego's sarcastic phrase "Woo hoo - extra hoo." (What episode was that from, anyway? I don't remember right now...)

This news story about a sixth grader who managed to fit not one but two rescues of people in peril into one school day has obvious echoes of KP.
