I'm still just researching my game notes for my D&D novel. It's really getting a lot more complicated than I thought to do this.

I visited Craig Johnson's website the other day. He's the author of the Longmire mystery novels, and he announced that there'll be a new book in the series released on Sept. 6. Its title is "Hell and Back." I immediately made note of that date, and placed a Post-It on the frame of my monitor where I'll be sure and see it. I definitely want to get that next book - he is such a good writer!
I also read a couple of original Christmas stories he wrote involving Sheriff Longmire, posted on a page of his website. They were written and posted back in 2019, and 2020. Really good stuff!

Two of my favorite series which I thought would never get finished have plesantly surprised me with their final volumes coming out at the end of the year. Jennifer Roberson's Tiger and Del Swordancer series volume 8 comes in December with Sword-Bearer. I'm not sure it's the last one, but she usually did her books here in tetralogies. Diana Rowland's Mark of the Demon series is definitely putting its final volume out with book #9, Rise of the Demon, coming out in November. The author has been having some bad health problems lately. Her last book came out more than three years ago. I thought she was going to be too sick to finish the series, but it looks like she was able to do it. As for Jennifer Roberson, I thought she just wasn't going to go back to that series at all. But I am definitely very pleased to see both of those books coming.

I'm reading First On The Moon: The Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Experience by Rod Pyle. It tells the story of the Apollo 11 mission, and also gives a background history of NASA for context. Lots of interesting photos, as well as a foreword by Buzz Aldrin, lunar module pilot on Apollo 11.
