I'm reading a new book, just arrived via Amazon today: Mary And Lou And Rhoda And Ted, And All The Brilliant Minds Who Made The Mary Tyler Moore Show A Classic, by Jennifer Keishin Armstrong. It talks about how the show's producers actively sought out female writers, at a time when there weren't many women writing or producing television programs. It also gives the reader an insight into how the show's creators came up with its concept & characters, and how they managed to cast such excellent performers in each role.
It's a good read - I'm already about halfway through it now.

I'm up to number 8 in C. J. Box's Joe Pickett series: Blood Trail from 2008. Someone is giving Wyoming's hunters the same treatment the hunters give their game animals. Now Joe's in the crosshairs ...

I'm reading Oppose Any Foe, the fourth in a series of thrillers by Jack Mars featuring a federal agent who travels the globe on urgent missions.
In this one, Agent Luke Stone has a new intelligence specialist on his team: a young woman who is described as having graduated magna cսm laude from MIT. This is of course impossible, since MIT has never awarded Latin honors on its diplomas. No, not even for Tony Stark.

Now reading Calico Joe, a 2012 novel by John Grisham. It's not about lawyers; it's the story of a record-setting major league baseball rookie whose career is cut short by a beanball.

I finished rereading Bismarck Cross, the third in a series of novels by Steven L. Thompson about a character named Max Moss. Max's first appearance was in Recovery, where he had to recover a downed American pilot in East Germany after his partner was seriously injured during the rescue attempt.
This is the first time I've reread this particular book since I first bought it back in 1985.
