To End With Fire, by David Weber and Eric Flint. You might want to take a look at this one, TWD. It is the ending volume (#4) of the slave revolt story on the planet of Torch in the Honorverse. While the story concentrates on Victor Cachet and Anton Zilwicki and the associated cast of characters in that part of the story, Honor herself makes side appearances, adn very important ones, and most importantly it happens AFTER Uncompromising Honor. So if you want to know how Honor manages to peel off the next layer of the "onion", you'll want to read this one. It makes me wonder that Weber is going to return to writing the next stage of Honor Harrington stories sooner than we think.

Thanks for the heads-up on the new book, jeriddian. I didn't know that book had come out yet! I've just finished reading Weber's latest anthology What Price Victory? Worlds Of Honor #7. It contains five very good stories that take place in the Honorverse, including a unique story about Honor and her parents. I won't say any more than that, because I think you'll find it interesting.
Now I've got to go find a copy of that Torch novel you just mentioned....
EDIT: The next Longmire novel by Craig Johnson, The Longmire Defense, is due out on Sept. 5. Just thought I'd mention it...

    SECOND EDIT:
Ooops. I already own a copy of To End In Fire, and I've read it. I forgot about it, what with all the other books I've been reading lately.
But I'm happy to say I now own copies of all the Honorverse books Mr. Weber and friends have written. I have all the Stephanie Harrington books: A Beautiful Friendship; Fire Season; Treecat Wars; and A New Clan. I also have all the books in his "Manticore Ascendant" series, which he co-wrote with Timothy Zahn and Thomas Pope: A Call To Duty; A Call To Arms; A Call To Vengeance; and A Call To Insurrection. These last four take place about 300-400 years before Honor Harrington's time, back when the Royal Manticoran Navy was evolving from a system defense force into a true interstellar navy. And they're good reads, too, like everything Mr. Weber creates. And now What Price Victory? completes my collection - that is, until Mr. Weber publishes his next book....

Dagnab it. Thought I catch one before you did. I read all those "Call To" books too. Nice prequel stories.
