I'm rereading a Marvel Comics "Epic Collection" of Fantastic Four reprints: "The Mystery of The Black Panther." It's a full-color collection of reprinted FF issues from #52, July 1966 to #67, October 1967. It also has a reprint of their 5th annual issue, published in 1967, as well as a couple of issues of their 60's-era satire comic, "Not Brand Ecch!" (They spoofed their own superheroes, Mad Magazine-style, in the latter publication. The two issues in this book feature stories poking fun at the character of the Thing.) Reading these tales brings back memories of when I first got into Marvel comics, back in the early 70's.

I just finished rereading that Fantastic Four collection. I saw another volume in tjhat series at my local bookstore recently. I think I'll go & buy it before someone else snatches it up - if not tomorrow (grocery shopping every Saturday), then perhaps on Sunday.

I bought another Fantastic Four "Epic Collection" book the other day; this one is Vol. 1, which includes issues #1-18, from 1961 to 1963. Although I've rerad many of these stories before in various reprints down thru the years, I always enjoy perusing them again after all this time. And besides, there are several issues reprinted therein which I haven't read yet; so I still feel a thrill of discovery whenever I read one of those. It's like someone once said: "Any book you haven't read yet is a new one."
