Web lectures today: getting into the Spanish American War and leading up to WW 1. Tomorrow's Fla history lecture is on the Civil War and that glorified skirmish called Olustee.

We have an electrician showing up to check on a job in a couple of hours and then Ian dropped off a food donation for our charity event Saturday. THEN found out about a change in a ceremony on the 2nd. Been somewhat busy, but pretty easy.

Rode a bus to Venice in the morning, got a covid test, and have been strolling around the city with Signora campy. Now we are sipping Negronis in Piazza San Marco at the café Richard Wagner used to frequent. A pianist is serenading us.

Another day in Venice. We had a walking tour with a local guide and then a visit to a terrace on a rooftop with a great view of the Grand Canal. Then a gondola ride followed by lunch and more walking.

Welp, yesterday served meals to the homeless and then checked on Boo, the golden retriever, he has to wear the cone of shame for about 4 or 5 more days.

I did a bit of writing on the plane to JFK airport just now.

It’s sort of ironic, but this will be my first time ever flying in or out of JFK. The ironic part is that for 22 years I lived right under the bad-weather flight path.
