I had lunch with fellow retiree pipefitters and am working on some music...some blues shuffles.

I got an e-mail from a guy at a temp agency who'd called yesterday with a tempting job offer. The e-mail was a consent form I had to electronically sign before he could submit my resume to the client company. If they like what they read, they could call me and set up an interview. I hope they do; this is the first serious job offer I've had in months.

We had our weekly day with our 5 year old grandson today. We took him to a local playground so he could run around for a bit.

Grading midterms this week--so not looking forward to it--every year it gets more depressing. But...on the bright side...there are some essays that make it all worthwhile. Big problem is that students are coming in totally unprepared for college level work.
