The campy family Christmas celebration is over. We survived.

A quiet Christmas. The grandkids are in Canada so we can't just go and pick them up.

I stayed home writing. I'm making real progress on my fanfic chapter. I'm starting to feel like I might finish it by year-end.

Today is quiet. Later I will call the hospital to check on my brother who had open heart surgery to replace a heart valve that was infected. His cardiologist told him he was lucky since the infection was Covid. I haven't really written since he went in the hospital.

The last I heard Lon is still in ICU, but should be going to rehab soon. Of course his daughter knows all about that since she was a physical therapist in that hospital. I've been calling and I guess I'll just call the hospital to see if he has been moved to the rehab unit in the hospital. I wonder if I'm going to have to drive up there again.

Okay, Lon is still on the same floor, but he's a level down from ICU.

I stayed home and worked on my chapter. It's now complete in that it has a beginning, a middle and an end, but it's far from my best work. I'll need to smooth out the rough spots before I publish it.

Quiet day....I like quiet days.

We went to the library to borrow an ice-skating pass and then delivered it to our daughter. We watched the grandkids play with some of their new toys.
