Today we will be doing more packing for our San Francisco trip. We'll be there two weeks, and our new grandson is slated to be delivered this coming Friday — unless he decides to arrive earlier.

(If he arrives today he can share a birthday with his cousin Robbie, whose party we'll be attending this afternoon.)

Jury duty today. Have to be in the courthouse by 8 AM, then probably hurry up and wait. The one time I win a lottery and it has to be this one.

Another ho-hum dat at work. I literally had nothing to do, just waiting for something to go wrong (hopefully not, of course)

Another day of going through my e-mails and looking for any job offers that sound promising. Didn't find any...it's all either stuff I'm not qualified for, or else it's a part-time job or even one that pays too little.

We went to the science museum in Golden Gate Park. The best exhibit in my opinion was the earthquake simulator.

Jury duty ended quickly--thankfully. I got there, sat down in the lobby for 30 to 45 minutes doing crosswords, and then was told to go home because everyone on the docket plea bargained. Not complaining about that at all. Busy grading papers. Nephew had his 20th birthday and got a good job with the city.

Our new grandson Leo came home this morning. We got to meet him for the first time. (Hospital visits weren’t possible.)
