And as I watched them, I was laughing at how hokey and corny those episodes really were, something I never picked up on as a naive seven-year-old back in 1966. Lord, it amazes me now at how seriously I took those shows back then!
Oh, good Lord, I think we all did. I'm not watching all that much on the tube. Not much there that interests me.

I watched a few more "Batman" episodes, then several of the documentaries included in the "special features" on the last disc in the set. Interesting stuff, there...including an interview with a fellow who builds replica Batmobiles (real, full-size, functional, drivable cars!) for folks who want them. He said he built his first out of an old Chevy Monte Carlo, and if he's the same guy I'm thinking of, he exhibited one of his Bat-replicas at a Marcon in Columbus, OH, a number of years ago. I heard someone say back then that the car on display had been built out of a car of that make & model. So he might just be the same guy. And I do remember the car looked really good, too. It looked like it had just been driven off the set of the TV show. He did that good of a job on it.

The new episodes of "Virgin River" are out on Netflix. Yeah, it's kind of a chick flick soap opera, but I like it.
