I watched a rerun of The Hunt for Red October, which is back on Netflix. One of my all time favorite movies.

I started watching this new Netflix series called "The Sandman". It i sbased of the graphic comic book by Neil Gaiman, and it is fascinating! Of course, just about anything that comes out of Neil Gaiman's mind is interesting as hell.

I'm still binge-watching episodes of the 1966 Batman series on DVD. Only now, I'm watching them on my combo VCR/DVD player/recorder - the one I'd stored in my cubicle about a year or two ago. I got sick & tired of watching the lousy playback of DVDs on my computer. People in motion on the screen were walking in jerky, start/stop motion, and any slow camera pans turned out jerky as well. My brother (an electronics & computer whiz) says it's due to the computer running other tasks at the same time it's playing the discs, which affects playback quality. The DVD player, on the other hand, is just playing the disc - nothing else. On Friday I went out to my cubicle and retrieved the player from its "banishment." Playback is so much smoother now! And the player hadn't been harmed by being in storage all this time - it had been stored in a closed plastic storage tub, along with its remote, manual, and connector cables, in a dry, secure cubicle under lock & key.
So, from now on I'm watching DVDs on the player instead of the computer!

I watched half of a video about the Sydney Opera House, before it ended abruptly.

Tonight I watched a documentary I DVR'd back in May - our local PBS channel played "ABBA Forever - A Celebration" back then, but I didn't have time to watch it. So I saved it, and finally viewed it tonight.
