I saw 'Operation Mincemeat' on Prime Video. Although movies have been amde about this story before, this one is the most accurate I've seen. It is dramatized some, but it is very accurate. Starring Colin Firth (The King's Speech, Pride and Prejudice TV series) and Kelly McDonald (Brave, Harry Potter), it's the story of the British Intelligence creating a deception in 1943 intended to deceive the Nazis into thinking that the Allied Invasion planned for July 1943 would be in Greece instead of Sicily. The plan they concocted was to get a body and dress it up as a Royal Marine and put an attache case with some fake documents in it, adn then release the body into the ocean off the coast of Spain. The idea was to have the body discovered on the Spanish shore after it washed up there and have the attache case taken by the Spanish authorities. Spain was literally overrun with German spies at the time (British, too), and British intelleigance was sure they would find a way to access the fake documents in the attache case which detailed fake invasion plans of Greece. They bought it "rod, line, and sinker" as Winston Chuchhill put it. The Nazis pulled their defences in Sicily and put them in Greece, and on July 10th, 1943, the allies invaded the underbelly of Europe, Sicily, with little resistance.

We could get to see how much French Kim learned at MHS. She said she was taking it in "Number One."
