I finally got a working clock back on the kitchen wall at the condo. It's so annoying not to have one where one expects it. I remember posting about this a few times six years ago after I took the old clock down at our former house.

I broke down and bought a copy of Dragon Naturally Speaking, version 15, pro version. I needed to speed up my writing and trasnlation of the data in my AD&D game archives. I tried this many years ago and could not get it to work well for me (version 6, I think). I was hoping it had improved enough to be useful now, but so far, I haven't had much luck with it. It is a little faster, but not by much. It still makes too many mistakes I have to waste time going back to correct. However, I still need to go through a training process for the program to get it to understand my speech patterns better. I'm hoping that will improve things.

Maybe you should buy Dungeon & Dragon Naturally Speaking.

Who ever heard of putting lemons in a Mojito instead of limes? The bartender I ordered mine from.

Congratulations to the Boston College Eagles on winning the women's National Invitational Volleyball Championship last night.

The team traveled to Des Moines, Iowa and beat the host Drake Bulldogs 3–1.

I just found out our older daughter and family will be moving out of their tiny house to a bigger one in the same town. Nellie and Robbie won't have to share a bedroom any more!

The downside is they won't be able to walk to high school when they reach grade 9, which they could from their present house.

Congrats on BC's win, campy. I've been doing less and less on watching and reading stuff as I concentrate more on "the game". I have to do a lot of work transcribing the handwritten material into digital form. Then I can get it better organized in to a database and then copyright everything before I truly launch into writing the novels.

I treated myself to a bottle of single-vineyard Armagnac brandy from our favorite local merchant. The Armagnac I've been drinking spends a mere 25 years in oak before it's bottled. The stuff I just bought spent 40 years in the barrel.

    Should be good.

Today I added the 2016 New Year's Concert CD from the Vienna Philharmonic to my iTunes music library. I now have 26 of the annual concert recordings going back to 1987 available on demand.
